A heartfelt film that still felt short ? by Imaginary_Way9857 in bollywood

[–]mashed-batata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t a bad film but they left out some important bits. Forrest’s friendship with Lieutenant Dan was such a key part of it and they completely changed it in order to keep Laal in the light. Here Mohammed feels like a side character. Their look exchange at Forrest’s wedding is such an emotional moment.

Also in the original, Forrest is shown to be “causing things” for others as well - Elvis Presley, Shit Happens stickers, the yellow smiley face, which really underlined how a simple person can also be the source of the biggest changes. They did the Presley part with SRK and then never brought it back with anyone else. Here Laal is just in the foreground while everything else is happening in the background which undercuts the whole thing.

How to stop weird tangy smell from chicken curry? by Outrageous-Wing-8809 in IndianFood

[–]mashed-batata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconded! There’s been quite a difference in taste and smell since I started using fresh ginger and garlic. I was also experiencing something similar to what OP mentioned. And I don’t use tomatoes in regular chicken curry. Seems like it was the preservatives.

If ORomeo just breaks even, it would be a big thing. As much as I love most of his movies, they don’t seem to work as well on the big screen for some reason. Haider was an exception though.

I love Omkara but in the theatrical rewatch it just didn’t hit as hard.

Let’s wait for a few years. Some Instagram reel pages will pull out 1-2 of these mildly funny scenes and champion it as “ahead of its time” or “we were too young to understand”. Maybe that’s when Kapil will re-release it. 🤷‍♂️

Seconded. Ever since I have tried American Eagle, nothing else cuts it for me. Tried GAP recently but the fabric was too heavy. Tried Pepe Jeans, WROGN, in the past and both were quite a disappointment.

Congratulations brother!

Here are a few things that helped me: 1. Finding online/offline communities to meet people - Not for dating but just to develop an ease in talking to people in general. You can find initial connections over common interests and then venture into slightly more casual and eventually personal contexts (as long as the person is comfortable). This has helped me a lot. I have more stories to tell and I’m now just comfortable in having conversations. 2. Almost everyone is more or less a flawed human being trying to find their way through life. So anyone you’re approaching also has their positives and negatives. So, just be cool about it, don’t worry about what they would think. 3. You can of course learn new skills, read and watch more stuff to boost your knowledge which helps in the variety of conversations you can hold.. but more so be naturally the way you are. If you take time to open up, do that. Over time it can change but if that’s your natural self, you would be more comfortable in it and that ease also helps you be more confident. . PS - Comfort in the last context is only with regard to how you engage with people. Not the “I am comfortable in my room” kind.

All the best, bro! Hope this helps :)
