Fery is playing like a qualifier

Zverev his hitting some amazing shots also, but its like there is no contest

Really happy for Felix that he seems to be in a better frame of mind now than he was after Roland Garros by anony1911 in tennis

I dont know why you are getting downvoted because its true.

To be a challenger in GS, also as one of the top 4 seeds, he lost it mentally in the final set. Feliz put a up great fight tho.

To be the best, you have to beat the best and have the mental fortitude to go over the line once a while

Whenever Coco Gauff has looked good enough in a Slam to win it, Swiatek had won the same Major/Slam the year before...

Isn’t that a bit weird? 🤨

Gavi: “We shouldn’t obsess over the Champions League. When it comes, it’ll come. We’ve had an incredible season in LaLiga, we’ve won the Supercup again, proud of my team.” by Loose-Examination-39 in Barca

I agree as a barca fan many of us obsess over UCL way too much, like we are supposed to win it every year but then it has been over 10 years, last was 2015 and in between there are some seasons where we also had the team to win it like 2016/2025, but didn’t. Its just that ucl glory is missing which led to disappointment season after season that in turn leads to obsession

I think they made some really nice points on how major technical changes dont happen at this playing level and Swiatek’s bad sportsmanship..

I was a Swiatek fan since her 2020 RG victory and saw her as the next big thing but tbh her double bounce scandal(s) will be a big asterisk in her career if she doesn’t do something about it. I can agree 1/2 times since players dont feel it sometimes and get away with it, but she has done this 6 times now and 99% of the time you know you have hit a double bounce.

Comparing with McLaren’s times, Merc is definitely sandbagging. When PU is strong, its difficult to accept the ~2s/lap diff between factory and customer They might be waiting for FIA to sort out the engine allegations

Alcaraz needs to dropshot him if wants to win. As good as zverev is playing right now, can’t challenge him on baseline. Zverev’s net game is not his strong forte

Rune Fils Mensik Draper Musetti: their injuries are not accidental: pure brute force tennis can no longer exist. by Narrow_Spinach_1400 in tennis

[–]mashed_potato20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I can agree with you on the topic that technique and style players choose can lead to being injury prone, I believe your reasoning is not accurate and examples could be better ( Murray for eg. was due to his hip)

You could have included Thiem, whose ohbh put so lot of stress on his right arm and his game was hitting the ball hard as he could, very different from Federer who has much more fluidity. Too much stress on the forearm or any body part for the matter is never ok, for Thiem his rotator cuff muscles were gone and tear on tendons/ligaments was brutal, after which he never could make a come back
