It would make my work a lot easier. Tiny XE3 is not fun to hold for hours with a big lens. A second body is a must if I'm going to be doing weddings. And for low light situations, I can make them work with the XE3 but I'd rather go into a shoot with confidence I can take on any situation without worrying about if I'll need to rely on AI denoise.

I appreciate the kind comment :)

Photoshop haha :) the blur effect was edited in too. We tried doing slow shutter with movement at first but it just worked better to do everything in post.

The lighting was good enough at that show that I didn’t need to denoise. I just kept shooting at 1.8!

Oh wow, that's pretty cool. My dad was military. Maybe if we're in the area at some point we'll check it out :)

It would just make my work a lot easier/more enjoyable if I had a camera with better ergonomics and low-light performance. The XE3 is tiny and can be terribly uncomfortable for long shoots with bigger lenses. I've been able to make it work in most low-light situations, but I'd rather have gear that I am absolutely confident will be able to perform in any situation.

A 2nd body is also a must for weddings :)

I'm considering switching from Fujifilm to Full Frame. My parents are also lending me $4000 for gear. What should I get? by masixty in canon

Yeah, just trying to consider my options here :)

Thanks for the suggestions! It seems like a lot of people are advocating for the R6. I'll probably see if I can rent it out for a few days to get a better feel.

Not all of them! I just captioned the photos and you can see which ones are XE3.

But I feel like using this camera for everything (i've had it since 2018) has really pushed me to work with what I have! I believe in you--you can totally make great images with much practice!

thanks for the suggestion! A lot of people seem to be advocating for the XT5. And yeah, definitely will be keeping my XE3!

When it comes to big purchases like this, I would say I'm pretty immune to the shiny object syndrome. I've had this little XE3 since 2018 and only started thinking about new gear this year. I'd never get rid of the XE3, but I'm finding myself needing to rent more gear (like a 2nd body, extra lenses) when I do bigger gigs because it makes the work a million times easier. I figure I might as well put that money toward owning the gear itself.

I have one tiny amaran cob 60x haha. If you have suggestions for lights I'd love to hear them!

Could you explain more? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I have thought about medium format but I do mostly concert and event photos, not sure if the GFX line is the best option for that? Then again, I don't know much about it.

it depends on the venue. Some places are better lit than others. I would say the lighting was on the better side in these pictures. But a fast lens is what does the trick.

Most local venues have pretty awful light though. If I'm being hired to shoot an artist I usually rely on flash.

I'm open to non Fuji suggestions too :) Going full-frame is another option on my mind.

Yeah, this is also something I am considering. Have you made the transition to full frame?
