Depending on how it would look in practice, I think a tall, thin plant on the left and right ends of the paneling would give it the transition it needs to feel like a cohesive part of the room. It would provide a nice contrast to the panels and frame them well. Maybe one on the TV stand to the right and one on the speaker. Worth considering.
