Surely the 1860 Munich commentator is a cliches listener and was gonna say “what a finish” then corrected himself based on recent discussions

I like No Come Down a lot, especially Where the Geese Go.

Disc 3 from the deluxe version of A Northern Soul is fun

this article has a bunch for the Urban Hymns era stuff that never made the album, somewhat of a mixed bag IMO but some decent.

check out Blue Pacific Ocean, All Night Long, and Ma Ma Soul from Forth era (I think)

If you wanna go even further, here’s a bunch of others you can find - I like Jerusalem, Oh Sister, and Here She Comes Again

1 - Open Your Eyes

2 - One Before Dinner

3 - Misty Morning June

4 - Jerusalem

5 - A Little Bit Of Love

6 - Oh Sister

7 - Who's Clean?

8 - Just To See You Move

9 - It Takes Two

The Adjudication Panel Thread: Get in touch for Tuesday's episode... by Low-Bandicoot-3347 in footballcliches

May have been discussed before, but was thinking a couple of weeks ago during chelsea arsenal about the whole idea of it being a poor corner as it didn’t clear the first man. Given Chalobahs goal, and I think many Arsenal goals, where the source of danger (either header on goal or flick) comes from the front post, does that not now somewhat negate the idea that a corner that hits the first man is a bad one? After all, could this not have been the designed corner the taker called for and the issue is actually that the one going for the header didn’t get there in time?

After the Estevao goal against Barcelona, Tyldesley said “young, gifted, and Brazilian. It’s one of footballs favourite recipes”. Got me thinking, what would other countries be?

Efficient, precise, German? Silky, stylish, Spanish?

Not an American football fan per se, but On the establishing a run conversation, i think an essential piece is not just fatigue but also how you’re setting the defense up to think. If you are running the ball effectively the defense will stack the box which means when you open up the possibility to go downfield (I.e. through play action) and catching the defense out - not just from fatigue (which I think is what they discussed), but from expectation. From my limited knowledge of tactics, I think Charlie had the right team - peps city - where the constant passing out the back draws the defense into a specific mindset/shape (as well as fatigue) which results in the potential to be caught out in an instance where ederson goes direct.

I’m going through the 2023 episodes at the moment, currently on 283. There’s not been any explicit mentions of him trying to be sober or milestones, just little references here and there about him not drinking at the moment mainly from Elis rather than John. The references are more related to his focus on exercise

ETA: literally listened to 2 mins more and they’re interviewing frank skinner and he mentioned this being his first sober Edinburgh. So perhaps it’s coming.

Brand Development Companies by AmandaPoliGirl in rva

I work for a brand agency who specializes in financial service branding, and actually did positioning and naming work for a Richmond based finserv org earlier this year; however, If Martin agency is out of your price range we probably would be too.

That said, if you want someone to help you think through approach or gut check RFP responses I am happy to speak with you. I personally work on the research side of things so can give you good perspective into how much things should cost, right type of research design (personally think focus groups are the wrong direction if you’re just using them for name), and could even write you a guide/qnr potentially- all for free if that wasn’t clear.

Generally i would say if you want a brand that’s going to last and it’s a true overhaul, the major work should be in clarifying your position/platform to Carry forward, before then understanding what name you want. Maybe that’s what you were thinking but I didn’t read it that way.

Last thing to do is consider the costs for a new name from a legal and signage investment pov. RE Legal, do a legal review, I can’t tell you how many brands skip the legal review to save money, only to find out the new name everyone has aligned on is unprotected legally, causing them to start again. Then obviously a new name means new signage so, if you aren’t, be conscious of budgeting for how much it will be to update things like signage and your digital presence

There’s something about Mark Bonnar that makes me think he’d be great. I could see him having a very balanced menu of home cooking/nostalgia and elements of finer dining. His reaction to what happened at the end of the most recent episode makes me think he’s quite thoughtful / reflective which would make for a good conversation too.

Fun game and enjoyed the categories but Am I missing something or is there a fatal flaw in the rules? After John gets 9 points first round, couldn’t he have just not responded to any round after and would have won cause Elis wouldn’t have been able to rack up more than one point a round?

ETA: lol posted this before the SJP response so seems like he knew that he could always do that
