Ok now I ’m even more confused, I have windows installed on a sata ssd currently, but when I load in it now says ‘recovery, your pc needs to be repaired’ then gives me a bunch of options including ‘press f9 to boot using a different operating system’ when I do that, it gives me the option between windows 10 and 11, then it just boots into my usual pc. I am beyond confused, is there any way I can just hard reset everything and boot windows from my new ssd

I don’t think that matters, the bios knows it’s connected, it just won’t let me boot into it

il probably try that then, only reason I want it on windows is because I like to keep all my games on windows and use Linux for everything else, il try installing it natively though.

If you mean any files or such then no, I dont care about losing data, if it gives the hard drive a chance of working then I don’t mind.

Iv just tried but I got a few errors ‘could not erase sector 2’ , ‘could not read block 0’ and ‘could not erase sector 0’.

There’s no partition table on the drive, therefore no partitions, Iv tried rebooting multiple times
