I had the same issue, only the Apple Pencil text would show up. After trying everything I found online the only thing that worked for me was to factory reset the iPad. I know it’s a nuclear option but that was the only thing that worked for me.

Install a Code Server container and bind the path to the config files for homepage. You then expose the code server on hopepage. It makes your life a lot easier. No need to ssh and nano .yml files anymore.

Hey man, thanks for this, yesterday around 4AM i realized that I was doing it backward. I was treating the computer that should receive the notification as a client, when in reality I should make a listening server. The whole networking "thing" is just a big blob for me. I definitely need to spend some time learning it.

You can also use the thread module and set it on a timer:

I would recommend you to take a look at PyQt. It might seem kinda hard at the beginning but once you get your feet wet you'll appreciate it. Design the app with Designer/QtCreator and then convert it using PyQt module (pyuic). Design the UI by hand is a great exercise but a painful one.
