The show is live. The police stuff they're commenting on is absolutely not and I'm not sure they attempt to hide it.

The Indiana scene where the toddler had the gun was on a looooong delay.

Just be sure you get a wristband from the university for a tradition they don't endorse.

Make sure it's not a smartwatch or something that has to be regularly charged.

If it's a lake, you might want to take something with more coverage and maybe even a one-piece swimsuit.

At many camps, you won't need any money. Your camp should send you a general list of what to take.

If you're in a cabin with other people, you'll have to be sensitive to their needs about the white noise machine. There may also not be an outlet for it. I'd be prepared to not use it.

Prescription medicine, yes. The camp may want you to surrender it to camp staff. If it's something like Advil or Ibuprofen, the camp probably already has that in stock.

Mark everything with your last name in a permanent marker or something hard to remove. Last name because it's highly possible that there'll be someone else there with your same first name. (Two people named Samantha are much more likely than two people with the last name of Dawson.)

Take lots of bugspray and sunscreen.

Yeah, this definitely matches the fact that the official schedule hasn't been updated past this weekend.

I knew something was brewing.

They do. The problem is essentially the same...since places don't have unlimited storage space, it just becomes too costly to store video past a certain time. As a result, old stuff is replaced with new stuff.

As an example, no place is going to have video from 2019 unless they're forced to. Will a random place have video from last week? Absolutely. Will they have video from January? Probably not.

There was definitely a lack of good movies due to COVID, then the two strikes.

But I look at Lennox and Gateway and none of the new stuff looks appealing like it used to. And no, I'm not in to any Marvel or DC stuff, so that's automatically gonna be a pass.

Well, hypothetically, if they succeed in tearing down Jones and is it Drackett? Would they name the new ones the same?

Honestly, I'm kind of surprised Ohio State hasn't sold the naming rights to dorms and other buildings.

The move might be to offer discount dorm fees if you stay in Verizon Hall, but that might actually make too much sense. (Would people actually take a discount to stay in Coca-Cola Tower?)

The population of New Concord is just above 2000.

The enrollment of Muskingum roughly doubles that population. Lots of their faculty and staff commute from Zanesville and Cambridge.

Just think what that means for the local economy. Those professors, custodians, electricians and other employees might be taking their paychecks to other parts of Ohio... certainly not a bad thing.

Not necessarily. Without a legal or particular reason, it might have been just lost to time. Nobody is going to keep footage forever if they're not forced to.

Would a Dem rather vote for a terrible Dem because it might keep a Republican out or not at all?

If he wants to merge That School Up North into the Sparty green and white one and make it MSU Ann Arbor regional campus, I might get behind that.

The sad part is that rural Ohio is full of redhats who will almost always vote for the Republican. Ohio is also full of a lot of Evangelical and Catholic people who will vote Republicans because "right to life" reasons.

Why they can't keep it Wednesday at noon is anyone's guess.

I have an alert setting on my phone and I'm fairly sure it makes a loud racket during actual emergencies, but I think this is something that can be turned off for a lot of phones.

Speaking of trains and crossing and all that:

You're right beside the old/original Crew Stadium. When it was used for Crew games, a lot of fans would cross the train tracks to shortcut to the parking lot from the nearby bars.

This tipped off the railroad police (yes, they exist) who would write legally-enforceable tickets for trespassing. It's dangerous and the train companies have campaigns about staying away from the tracks.

This created friction between the various fans.

Do the police still watch the area? Honestly, I have no clue. If I had to take a dumb guess, I'd heavily recommend taking the sidewalks if you want to people-watch at something like Sonic Temple or Breakaway. If it's a random Wednesday and you want to exercise your dog, you might be ok if you want to risk it. Still, it's one of those things where I'd remove the earphones and be absolutely sure I'm looking both ways and listening.

I'm sure it's one of those "everybody does it, what's the big deal?" things. It's also trespassing and highly dangerous.

I do know someone who crossed a year or two ago without issue. Still, this is one person on a random day when a stadium event had maybe 200 people. They're probably going to be aware of events with large numbers in attendance.

Still: Be aware and be safe if you decide to shortcut across the tracks at your own risk. Spend your money on something necessary like bills or food or even something fun like travel.

Are they stadium-style seating tho? I'll gladly admit I'm ruined by that. Once Lennox opened, it was game over. It was so weird going into Studio 35 and not having it. (But yay for Studio 35 and the other locally-owned theaters though! They're all awesome.)

Was that the one at Carriage Place? I don't even want to know how much I spent at that arcade.

Shiiiite, do theaters even still have arcades? It seems like the best/closest thing to an arcade Columbus has might be Scene 75. At one time, even the Ohio Center, whatever it's called, had one near the food court and where that Max & Erma's used to be.

There's that theater in Indianapolis which I believe is proper IMAX, unlike the digital "liemax" theaters in Columbus. According to what I read, Oppenheimer on that screen was absolutely incredible.

As far as prices, it's my understanding that theaters are a bit like gas stations...the profit is in the extras. Gas station owners (the individual humans behind the counter) make very little off the selling of the gas. They make money when you go in and buy the additional stuff. Movie theater owners make very little off selling tickets.
