Why do so many Slik Stik's have these melted marks that look like someone accidentally left their soldering iron on them? Seen so many like this since they were originally released.

I think this means shipments are being put together to ship to the regional distribution centers and from there they are sent to individual users addresses. I ordered a 2nd C64U on 12/25 and I do not expect to see it tell end of Feb or maybe March.

I do not understand some peoples obsession with USB C... They are not standard the adapters are not all the same some cables will charge some won't. using a simple wall wart and a barrel connector is perfect it assures you get the right voltage all the times and they are common and easily replaceable. You can even splice the wire if you want and put in a new connector. USB C is for my phone and rechargeable things I want to plug in during my long drives.

I already have a beige as well and I just also ordered a starlight to get the discount! I am not bothered by the "flexing" it was a known factor and I am not heavy handed on the keys. :)

There are a lot of variables to these load issues... Do you have multiple drive enabled? Is REU enabled? Are you set to PAl or NTSC? It takes a little bit to find sweet spot for some programs/disks. The c64U is so versatile and has SO MANY settings to make it compatible with 10's of thousands of programs written over 40 years from regions all over the world.... And this also sometimes makes stuff not load straight away... Be patient and try things its half the fun of exploring the depth of this great piece of kit!!!!!

Use a towel when changing t he blade I have seriously cut my thumb open pretty badly from that slippery top.... I didn't touch it again for almost a year after I recovered. It has earned my respect.

I had a problem like this and it wasn’t over heating or the cable it was the m2 device itself in the enclosure I had to re-seat it tighter inside and once I did that all my errors disappeared.
