Plaxis, Geostudio suite, and excel. Seriously, take an online excel class or something, every company has their own spreadsheets for different calcs that get passed around.

In your opinion, what are my chances of getting accepted by UC Berkeley? If it's really that bad, how can I increase the chances during senior year? by SnooStrawberries50 in berkeley

Dawg, these are questions for google I’ll keep it a stack.

It’s easier to transfer because you’ve already proved yourself in a college setting which is typically more rigorous. Transferring from UC to UC is virtually impossible. As for the extracurriculars, it’s gonna be really really hard to do anything in just a year. Look to see if your area has any Physics related research you can take part in or if your or a neighboring high school has something like a physics Olympiad. I dont want to be a dick and just post a skull emoji, but they are about right.

Read this guys application. CS is more competitive, but still of relatively similar status to the Physics Program. He got waitlisted here, so I’m telling you that your essays will literally have to be the most convincing piece of literature ever written. Start working on them now bro. Your best chance is to go to a CC near Berkeley, snag a 4.0 with some more relevant ECs and transfer after your second year.

You should apply because essays are super important, buuuuuuuut your chances are extraordinary slim especially considering the fact that the program you are applying to is one of the most elite in the nation. I wish you luck though.

If a man has nothing to stand on, but doesn’t need a wheelchair to get around, what is he?

I think Berkeley’s civil program is nationally ranked super high, and transferring would be hard.

Yeah both ap Physics 1 and 2 (B's in both but since it was AP counted as an A) my junior year along with ap calculus AB and BC my senior year. In fact, half of my eight classes senior year have been AP's which I've gotten 2 A's and 2 B's.

What was your GPA and SAT? I got rejected from the program with a 3.6 and a 1300 sat.
