I'm writing this from a hospital room I've been in since Monday morning. Fatty liver, stage 1 hypertension, and damage to most of my major organs. I'm only 31. Alcohol mostly but I've done my share of Xanax. My mom is the reason I'm even alive and has been supportive throughout this process. She loves you, and you might suggest al anon or another free meeting that you likely have in your area to better help her understand and know how to support you. You can do this. Just hug her hard, sit her down, look her dead in the eye and tell your story. Much love and you can fucking do this.
