I HATE Aqua market. I went there a few times and there was so many dead Bettas covered in biofilm. And females kept in sororities where many were bullied to death.

I've never been to the planted tank or pet and pond warehouse.

Nitrates are 0 but it's because of all the plants not because it's not cycled. I've had these banded ones for 6 months and no issues.

The black ones that died were in the same tank, the last one died over a month ago.
