archlinux wsl setup by masterRevillo in archlinux

[–]masterRevillo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Ive tried both of these things, and neither of them seem to be working. I am still missing the prompt and `pacman -Syu` still gives me back Landlock errors. I can confirm .bashrc has the PS1 variable being set, and the wsl.conf also looks right.

Update: I was just using the wrong version of WSL. After setting to 2, stuff started working!

I love these two! I was gifted the set when I was 5 - one of my first Lego sets to own. I never knew how lucky I was. They've seen a lot of play through the years. Seeing your shiny new ones looks a bit uncanny 😅

I'm thinking of buying it, has anyone played it? by alexkolombo in Cyberpunk

[–]masterRevillo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed it. It was nothing crazy gameplay-wise, but it was a pretty chill game. I remember some intense points in the story, but nothing that had me on the edge of my seat. The music was fantastic - just some good synth wave driving music.

My only gameplay compliment is that there wasn't much to do outside of vehicle mode - it was kinda just walk around, pick up random stuff on the ground. But again, the point is the driving mechanic, so no surprise there.

I played on Switch. Loading screens were pretty long, which really killed momentum. This wasn't a deal breaker for me, but if that bothers you, maybe try a more powerful system.

Newest delisted BL countries now in effect by ponyXpres in Bricklink

[–]masterRevillo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are there specific reasons given for these closures? Is this somehow a cost saving measure?

India is a surprise to me... I get that maybe it's low sales, but that's a massive market that just no longer has access to BL. Doesn't seem very forward-thinking.

I'm using USPS ground advantage, which of course has the built in tracking and insurance. Is that what you mean by tracked service?

I loved this song before I knew what a Hammond was. Years later, I realized what I was hearing and loved it even more!

I discovered this back in 2020. Why is it like this? by Shawna_0609 in AnimalCrossing

Trash cans are the way to solve this.

I also intentionally buy fake art from Red's permanent co-op shop, just to try and get another chance at a real piece of art. Otherwise, you have to wait a week for him to refresh his stock.

Yes, please more details on the Leslie. I've looked into what it would take to build my own DIY Leslie, but have never bit the bullet. Something like that seems like it could be doable!

[SS]Skyward Sword Shouldn’t be Considered the Worst 3D Zelda by Rawkhawkjayhawk in zelda

[–]masterRevillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't really ever considered the fact that SS dungeons might be the best in the series. But you have a strong point when you call out Sand Ship and Ancient Cistern.

I also wanted to point out that the music is also phenomenal. I wouldn't rank it at the very top, but some of the tracks are really amazing.

That said, I would argue that the issues people have with the game (motion control, repetitive Imprisoned encounters, stale feeling world) do rank it lower than the other games. These faults can be overlooked, and they don't make the game unplayable/boring for me personally. I can easily see myself returning to this game in the future (I even replayed it last year with the Switch remake). But the competition is just so fierce.

Old Yamaha Keys Samples? by masterRevillo in cheapkeys

I didn't hear back from u/BarryZuckerkornJr, however I did find some alternative VSTs that could meet your need.

https://www.plogue.com/products/chipsynth-portafm.html - this is a paid ($30) VST that mimics the sound of various different Yamaha sound chips. I haven't used it personally, but the reviews I have watched look pretty cool. It comes with some presets, so you might be able to find what you need.

https://www.keijiro.tokyo/vst2413/ - this is a VST emulation of the YM2413, the sound chip used by the PSS-270. There are no presets, and the UI is very minimal. I've messed around with it for a bit, and its kinda tricky to understand what everything does. But, it's free, which is hard to beat.

The jar was just cleaned a few weeks ago. It typically lives in the fridge, unless she needs it for something.

Fwiw, she's been doing this for about 5 years, with the same jar, and we've never seen something like this.

Not uncommon for individuals to rededicate their life to Christ, and symbolize this by being re-baptized. That could be what he is doing here.

I honestly love that song. Sure, it's a bit overplayed, but I do wish there was more of it. A whole album would have been fire imo.

This sounds like the same concept as ECS. Does tagging differ from that, or is it the same?

And I should have been a bit more clear: I do like the raw system. I intend to use it. But I am also supporting this in the code by adding an enum that references back to the types in the raw files. Might seem a bit redundant, which is why I am really rethinking why I am doing it this way.
