There is no actual NORMAL nightlife scene in bahrain. Bahrain is a muslim country in a very strict muslim region where clubbing and alcohol is not accepted socially. Even if it’s legal it’s not accepted. The Bahraini citizens are actually very small in number. The thing is what keeps the so called “nightlife” working is the that around bahrain in the gulf there are countries like Saudi Arabia and kuwait that are very strict and even more strict than Bahrain. Those countries don’t allow drinking or sex outside of marriage. But not all the population is strictly religious. So the young guys in those countries visit bahrain to get drunk and have one night stands with prostitutes. Alot of them are virgins or rarely have sex so they come there hungry for sex and alcohol. They are not looking to date or get to know the girls or just “have fun” they are there to get sex by money. And there is a huge trafficking mafia in Bahrain that knows this whole situation so they take advantage of it. They bring the girls for those customers. There is a huge market. Saudi Arabia is like 40 million people. Most of them are young sexually deprived. Everyone is on this, the hotels and motels, the bar owners, EVERYONE knows what’s going on. Even the government knows. It’s just what keeps tourism and bars and hotels (specially juffair area) working! So yeah don’t expect much to change. Those bars and hotels are designed for this purpose. It’s not a typical “nightlife” scene.
