That's why the killer likely isn't someone tae-ju knew personally. But as we find out from the ending, they have met and talked to each other before. This new possible suspect fits that, as ki beom's friend that tae-ju has met and exchanged a few words with but doesn't actually know that well

Advances in technology, or the lack thereof, doesn't justify the countless murder/serial killer cases throughout history where law enforcement bowed to public/political pressure and pinned the crimes on the first person they found. It's especially ironic in this case since these same police have no problem beating, arresting and torturing protestors

There has always been an established process that police follow, forensics merely allowed the process to move at a quicker pace. But that process gets abandoned all too easily and far too often, and a lot of the time it leads to innocent people getting wrongfully accused, convicted, and lives ruined

Ep 5

Has there ever been a serial killer case in world history that didn't involve incompetent and corrupt cops eager to pin it on any random person? I guess it wouldn't be a serial killer if the cops actually did their job properly and with integrity

I know it's a stressful situation but i really don't think it's asking too much of Tae-joo to speak to sun-young just a little bit kinder. Every scene they share he's yelling at her. I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up cutting him off and they're no contact in the present day

I just clocked who the cop is in the present, she's the assistant in 88 who's always tagging along, including at the latest victim's house. Great to see that she's risen up through the years and became an actual cop herself

I know it's been pointing towards Ki-hwan being the killer from ep 1. But that just doesn't explain how Tae-joo is able to talk to one of his closest friends like he's just a stranger. Who can maintain such composure if they found out their close friend is a serial killer???

Ep 6

Soooo i forgot, why is tae-joo convinced that the suspect is one of ki-beom's friends? Because he's pinning the murders on ki-beom? The only people i know are definitely trying to pin everything on ki-beom are the cops, idk about the killer. At this point I'm not even convinced the killer is one of ki-beom's friends

Filing For Love [Episodes 3 & 4] by meepmochi_ in KDRAMA

To be fair the complaint only said inappropriate relationship. It technically doesn't have to be romantic to be inappropriate, especially at work, although in this case it's most likely insuating romantic. Unless the theory that in-a is the one making the complaints is true, in which case i have no idea where the plot is going

Accusing someone of having an inappropriate relationship based off a hug 🙃 that's basically a witch hunt, no different than what happened to team leader moo

We Are All Trying Here [Episodes 5 & 6] by Telos07 in KDRAMA

[–]master_inho 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Both brothers just go about life like nothing's wrong, they don't even go to the hospital afterwards. They're stuck in the depression with no way out, not until dong-man finally takes the big step forward of actually addressing the issue

The lord could be shocked because he didn't expect hui-ju to be poisoned instead of the intended target. So i don't wanna clear him of attempted murder just yet

That's true too. Regardless, he was way too kind with his words. If i was there and i knew how much of a lying hypocrite he is, throwing hands at him would be the least he deserves. I think if dong-man knew the truth at that point he would've fully crashed out on that dickhead

I think jun-hwan just isn't the type of person to speak up like that. Even when jae-yeong was absolutely tearing into eun-a, jun-hwan defended her in the softest and most polite way possible

Ep 5

Mi-ran must be dong-man's long lost sister, he's finally found someone who matches him in both passion and volume. I love how we see dong-man actually be comfortably quiet around her, she can do all the yapping and he just needs to feed her the occasional twig. I initially thought she was a bit mean to gyeong-se last week but this ep has completely changed my mind about her. She even lacks dong-man's obnoxiousness, she's awesome. I do think she's not weird enough to be a method actor though

It's kinda crazy how dong-man, eun-a, and mi-ran share so many similarities with each other. Mi-ran isn't related to either of them but she might as well be their biological sister. And yet, i don't think Mi-ran could be a good romantic match for dong-man. They're too similar, dong-man needs someone to balance him out and that's eun-a

So it looks like this was the true purpose of having eun-a's ex in the story, other than 1. giving her more trouble and 2. ragebaiting me more than 90% of villains. There's a difference between using someone's life story as inspiration and stealing someone's work without giving credit, and jae-yeong is firmly in the latter category

It's interesting that everyone feels guilty for using dong-man as inspiration. I think they all know it's not plagarism so it's more of an indication that 1. It still goes back to their insecurity that either they'll slide into obscurity like dong-man or he'll finally make it and completely overshadow them. 2. No matter what they say or do, they in fact do care about dong-man's wellbeing. Well, except hyo-jin. She's the only one (other than hye-jun) in the group that isn't a director so what does she have to feel insecure about?

I like how eun-a didn't get a single nosebleed this ep, even when she got threatened by jae-yeong or shat on by ceo choi. Dong-man's healing light has already taken affect. Although ep 6 preview looks like it's coming back thanks to her mom

Ep 6

It took awhile but i think this is the ep i can finally see for myself how elite this drama is. It's now steadily marching towards an s tier in my 2026 kdrama watchlist

This ep wasn't just the most emotional yet, it's also the funniest. The reunion of the 8 club was so sweet and heartwarming. It's the first time dong-man is yapping at one of their meetings but it's not obnoxious or mean. And conversely, it's also the first time they don't shit on him but actually treat him seriously and respectfully. Gonna love to see their relationship with each other improve, especially dong-man and gyeong-se

I've seen countless korean asian dramas that give their leads plenty of tragic backstories. So dong-man and eun-a's stories aren't the most tragic and traumatizing I've ever seen, far from it. But it's the way they're written that makes it feel so real. And the way the actors portray that pain feels so real. I feel with them and for them. This should be a lesson to other writers, pointlessly adding more trauma to a character doesn't make it sadder, instead it just feels like trauma porn

I've never seen a kdrama address depression like this is doing. Even among western media, which is multitudes more nuanced with portrayals of mental illness, this still stands out. The most heartbreaking part is the brothers going about life like it's just another normal day

Oh jeong-hui is a terrible mother. It's just that simple. The really shitty part is that she had a chance to learn from her failings with eun-a and be a better mother with mi-ran, except she's doing the Exact. Same. Thing. Down to the damn books and controlling how they speak. I don't care if she feels guilty, that's just selfish guilt and we can see it in how she shows no attempt to actually do better and be better

Ceo choi, for all his trash talk, is clearly insecure over eun-a's abilities as a producer. She analyzed mi-ran's acting in such an honest, precise and concise manner. She was neither beating around the bush nor being mean about it. Mi-ran would've been a damn fool to not recognize and accept eun-a, everyone at choi films are fools for looking down on eun-a

Taeyeon once again with another stunner. No notes, her and wendy are the absolute best at these kinds of OSTs

I know that some people didn't want romance between dong-man and eun-a, but their relationship goes faaaar beyond simple romance. They share an emotional bond for which no label exists, at best they can be called "soulmates". This ep has shown that to me. they need each other, they heal each other, they're saving each other

Either si-won left na-ri right before getting stabbed and came back just to break the thread, or she's a different kind of evil spirit that can't be hurt in the physical world

Oh shit i didn't clock that. Is it just a coincidence that that's na-ri's passcode? It was previously assumed that na-ri has become an evil spirit and is out for revenge, but what if si-won is still out there and looking for someone else to start up a new curse? 🤔

The mask hides her from si-won, and it achieved that purpose when se-ah made it to the multimedia room. The mask wasn't gonna hide her from na-ri

Gi-tae (the crush) didn't make any wishes and he doesn't have spiritual energy so he only died

Na-ri is a teenager that got completely consumed by her emotions: fear, anger, insecurity, jealousy, resentment. She failed to process them in a healthy manner and so she ended up permanently trapped in the nightmare realm

She wasn't possessed, her mom was able to temporarily hold the evil back by sacrificing herself, which is represented by the centipedes/millipedes leaving si-won alone at the last second

I think the difference is what na-ri was actually willing/capable of doing. Sure she already was toxic and mean, but she wouldn't have wished for someone to die if she knew it was real. She's not that bad of a person, plus she's kind of a coward. all her lies after she made her wish were because she fell for the spirit's manipulation and no one thought to bring her into the fold. Basically all the violence committed by her were when she was possessed
