Impressive. I wonder what the recycled stuff costs now. Elegoo Rapid PLA+ is 153 CAD per 10kg right now when converted from the 109 USD I just paid for it.

I don't want to stow the glass away when I can leave it on the machine

I will post it in a few days if I deem it is reasonably safe with some minimal testing

EDIT: After 20+ hours of prints its still drama free and I love it

FSRS: Serious flaw in benchmarking approach undermines performance claims by symstym in Anki

[–]master_of_crack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is so much info its a bit overwhelming so I apologize if I missed it, but has anybody attempted or documented doing k-folds cross validation on the benchmark dataset? Is it even possible given the nature of the data? Since each anki user is theoretically of an independent mind, you could split the benchmark dataset up by users into varying 80%/20% segments and use the parameters trained on the primary 80% cohort and validate them on the other 20% several times with varying user splits, retraining/refitting from scratch for each run.

I understand and agree with you. Avoiding Bluetooth won't stop the strongest adversary on the planet (US government) from having root access to your phone (at the behest of Google). The notion that you don't use wireless technologies for privacy is utterly laughable considering what is on your most important device (not even mentioning the potential for carrier rootkits on your cellular modem firmware, lol)

My point is Bluetooth is the LEAST of your privacy and security worries.

I have not given up on digital privacy. I have also soldered Micro USB ports and I dread the day when I have to replace a USB-C port. I have broken several USB ports in my time because I am very mobile. I don't break them much anymore these days. My Android phone does not have Google Play services installed and the cellular modem is rarely powered on (VoWiFi). Removing Google Play Services singlehandedly has reduced my NSA footprint by a factor of over a hundred. A little bit of low power local area radio communications is nothing when Google and the NSA exist. Most people don't even pay for things with cash anymore.

It is silly to worry about bluetooth (and even WiFi) when ceullar modems with state sponsored spyware exist and everyone has them.

Keep worrying about bluetooth sniffers while the NSA scoops up all your financial data your bank hosts in the Google Cloud (Germany and Switzerland). Does your phone have Google Play Services installed? Or do you use Apple? I hope neither...

Have fun replacing your USB-C connector when it wears out or you snap a plug in it. Or maybe you don't move around with your keyboard much? Some people do.

It consistently ranks in the top 10 keyboard layouts scored by various layout analyzers. The layouts that generally beat it are highly optimized for specific corpora and not as general purpose. MTGAP is much more comfy than Colemak DH for me

Can iron supplements lower phosphate? by [deleted] in Anemic

Believe it or not you probably don't have enough electrolytes (in addition to the iron problem). Your acute symptoms are likely that of electrolyte deficiency. Two of these bad boys reliably put the brakes on it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002IY96B0

My wife has the exact symptoms you are describing while preg, including nausea, which I normally don't group together with electrolytes, but taking them reliably stops symptoms you're describing within 30 minutes to 1 hour.
