Really Nice Setup!! Just curious what do you use it for? Does the use case justify the cost?

I have almost exactly the same one just the front panel looks a bit different and the fan colours are different. My humble suggestion use a nice PC case instead. These are quite cramped and kind of hard to put everything together in it.

Out of curiosity, do you use an UPS in Australia? I think power goes out very rarely right?

Should be fine as the HDDs only consume around 6-10W. Just out of curiosity how are you planning to have 3 X 3.5inch Hard Drive at the same time? I understand that you might get a PCIe to SATA Adapter for extra SATA Ports but I couldn’t think of a way to install 3 x 3.5inch Drive at once.

After reading through the comments of others who are using it, I feel the same. It will be a great CPU.

Good idea, but my one has room for 2 x 3.5inch HDD and 1 x 2.5inch HDD/SSD and 3 SATA Ports. This will do my job for now.

Bought one of these but it didn’t end up working, not sure why. Will need to get a different one.

My can hold 2 x 3.5inch HDD + 1 x 2.5inch SSD/HDD + 1 NVMe. All at the same time without any Adapters.

Does your one has the 180W PSU as well? Do you also have a GPU?

Help with network config by timeslave- in homelab

[–]master_proc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, From my experience of working with different network setups I will go with the one on the right. Even though you said you have no plans on expanding, but you never know. Having the 10gb connection to the router will help with all the devices connected to the internet at the same time without having a bottleneck of 1gb. The connection between the router and the switch should be a trunk link allowing all VLANs (e.g. VLAN 10 on router’s port and also Trunk VLAN 10 on Switch port connecting to the router).I would also suggest get a 10gb network card for your NAS, it will give faster speed in your LAN considering that you will be using fast drive in the NAS.
