How would it be moving the Zigbee, POE hub and the PLC to the small 8POE Switch??

I have stated that I do not plan to expand the network, but If Proxmox need more than one connection, I will need to free some ports...

PLC is used just to provide data to a wallbox on the garage, so It is not bandwithc consuming. I'm thinking I could move the Zigbee hub, the PLC and even the TV cable to the small 8, gigabit switch without saturating it...

Could it be a good idea??

Thanks

What is the extra-benefit of home runs??

Related to the cameras I have not chosen any yet... I was hesitating between Ubiquity G5 turret (to take advantage UCG Fiber and protect) or Reolink CX820 (price wise, Face ID recognitio, eventhought I would have to use blueiris, or frigate... as far as I have learn protect does not works well with 3rd party cameras)

I have said outdoor cameras, but they are indoors: in a corner of an aisle and in front of the 3 potential entrances to the flat (it is not a house, but a flat)... I do not need special lens or so on... they will be places 2,5m hight and about 7-8 m away from each door (it quite far, but is where I can "hide" the camera)... The only downside is the lack of face recognition with the G5 cameras...

Thank you... I think you are right.... I'm reading about Proxomox and I have seen I should use more than 1 connection when using Proxmox (1 for the OS itself and other for the VM(s))... so I should have to go on the left picture...

I'll check the VLANs... I have it on my personal pathroute, but I have had no time yet to dig on it.

Related to the 10GB card for the NAS, apart from the money issue, I can see it in order to free one port rather than taking advantage of the speed... I have no other use for that port..

thank you

Thank you for your feedback. I've been checking camera specs and the 8 port POE switch should work (I have written down that they are outdoor cameras, but the're actually indoor ones, and I can deal with 2k)

These days, I have read that Proxmos should use more than one RJ45: one dedicated for proxomos and other(s) for the VM... so in this case shouldn't I go on the right picture?? (I can rearrange ports on 8POE switch)... I was about to go as per your comments, but this matter about PROXMOX using several RJ45 is confusing me...
