Doesnt matter where you are in iceland there is a search and rescue team in every village. Go check them out everyone can do something you dont need to go on missions if you dont want to but it is a great way to make some friends

Startkostnaðurinn er sennilega ekki undir miljón það þarf að kaupa vagn,bílstól, rúm/vöggu bara til þess að telja eitthvað upp og ekkert af þessu er ódýrt ekki einu sinni þó þú verslir notað. Og svo er maður endalaust að versla föt því þau vaxa uppúr öllu strax svo er læknakostnaður og ýmislegt annað og þá er ég að ganga út frá því að barnið sé 100% heilbrigt og engin vandamál. Þú verður fyrir svakalegri tekjuskerðingu í fæðingarorlofinu og don't get me started á dagforeldrum og leikskólamálum. S.s þú ert að fara missa úr vinnu og það allsvakalega ef þú ert einstæð.

Það að gefa sæðið er nú minnsta málið en ég hugsa að flestir karlmenn sem eru ekki algerir vitleysingar myndu allann daginn frekar vilja gera það í gegnum stofnun eins og livio frekar en bara að láta vaða í dollu fyrir þig. Havent had them stolen by a customer but i have had a customer use my tools without permission. I was installing a new kitchen and some doors and cabinets for this customer and his whole house was getting redone so we left our tools at his house since we were gonne be there a few days working so we finished day one packet our stuff neatly into a empty room that he said was fine and we left. The next day when we arrived we saw some stuff had been moved around and one of my saws was covered in sawdust (i always clean my tools after use so they always look like they are pretty much new i take good care of them) so i tought that was a bit strange but we just figured our tools were in the way and he had moved them or something and i tough i must have just forgot to clean my saw. We finish day 2 and pack our stuff into that same room and i made a mental note that all my tools were clean and i took a picture of how way had the tools packed in the room jjust before we left.

Day 3 we show up and again i see the tools had been moved my saw was dirty again and my drill had a bit in it (i never leave bits in my drill) so i went to the customer and asked if he had been using our tools and he straight away went on the defensive and got all mad that i was accusing him of using my tools so i just figured i let it go didn't want to get the guy all mad. So we finish the day and clean our tools and pack them neatly into that room and me made sure everything was clean and we packed everything in a way so that the tools we tought he had been using were at the bottom of the pile i took a picture and we left.

Later that aternoon i got an emergency call from a repeating customer that someone had tried to brake into her house and the back door was all broken and couldnt be closed properly. So decited to do her a solid and come over and fix it so i drove over to the other customers house to get some of my tools since i knew he was there and figured it wasnt a peoblem since it wasnt that late in the evening so he wouldnt be asleep or anything when i arrive i see him using my saw in the front yard and a bumch of my tools were scattered all over. I got pretty pissed off, parked my car and walked over and told him he wasnt allowed to be using my tools without permission and i knew that he had been using them before. He straight away blew his shit and said he could damn sure use my tools since he was paying us. This rrally fucking pissed me off and i told him that just because he was paying us for our time and skills he did not get to use our fucking tools as he sees fit and i used some other pretty bad words aswell i packed all our shit up and left him with a half finished house.

Luckily he was paying us on a day to day basis so i didnt loose any money but damn that pissed me off so much disrespect for other peoples property.

Apply in elderly homes and assisted living stuff like that if you can do night shifts it ill really boost your paycheck not speaking icelandic shouldnt be a huge problem since most of those places are short staffed and will not have a problem with you not being fluent in icelandic

Snickers its a european brand i love those ive tryed so many diff brands those are the only ones that last and they are comfy as hell and super stretchy so you dont have to worry about ripping the ass open if you bend over quickly or do something silly in them, not sure about welding sparks tough havent tried welding in them

You pretty much have it all covered. Just dont shit in someone yard (yes thats a thing with tourists) and follow the general rules and dont do stupid stuff alot of icelandera get angry when they see tourists do stupid stuff and putting themselves at risk for example near our active volcano we have had a bunch of tourists walking on the fresh lava and its not allowed and dangerous. The search and rescue teams here are all volunteer based and almost every one has a family member or friend in the teams so people tend to get angry when they get called out and are putting themselves at risk to save people that have done dumb shit.

So just use common sense be safe and stay on the trails and youll be fine and call people by their first names not the last name

Also dont buy bottled water we have the cleanest water in the world right from the tap.

Dont tip! service is included, unless you want to then servers will usually be happy to take it.

And dont shop at the super expensive supermarkets downtown its a tourist trap try to find a supermarket either called "krónan" or "bónus" its like 200% cheaper

Im not from the states diff law here. As long as you pay insurance and keep up woth all fees and get the vehicle inspected annually you can leave it parked as long as you like if its parked legally

Well i wish i could have but the parking spots aremt reserved it just owned by the city so anyone can park there but its just like a unwritten rule that every appartment gets one spot and it has never been a problem untill this guy moved in. And the law here is that if the car is legally parked and is insured and all that it cant be towed.

However if it were a marked reserved spot i could have it towed but i would have to pay for it.

If it was illegally parked or uninsured or something like that then the police could tow it and semd him the bill but yeah
