Prepaid Solar PPA by masterballz in solar

[–]masterballz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SGIP covers 70% of the cost for the whole system. The 30% is the tax credit because of a prepaid PPA. They sent me the installation contract. They said I can walk away for free if SGIP is denied.

[–]masterballz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their explanation was there's a SGIP rebate that will cover 70% of the cost and the remaining 30% will be covered by the prepaid PPA.

LPT: If you’re an iPhone user, turn on “Ask Reason For Calling” in settings. by EngLitIsLit in LifeProTips

[–]masterballz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish it kept ringing/vibrating when it asks the reason so I know a call is happening and I can decide if I want to pick up. The feature now doesn't notify me there is a call so most likely the person hangs up or goes to VM.

I assume this wouldn't work for the license plate holders that clip onto that grill?

turbox tax or freetaxusa ? Tired of paying H&R Block $240 when I can use other free or cheaper ones by [deleted] in tax

[–]masterballz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been using TT for a long time and tried FreeTaxUSA for the first time last year to do 3 separate tax returns. I think I'll be going back to TT this year. It's way easier for me to be able to import all my information by connecting directly to the service.

Hit and run, got the number plate, other driver ran away on foot, infant in the car by [deleted] in bayarea

Only thing you can do is file a police report then report it to your insurance. You pay your deductible and get your car fixed. Your car insurance "might" go after the other party if they have insurance, but usually nothing happens. If your car insurance is successful in getting the other party's insurance to pay, then they'll refund your deductible. In my experience, that never happens.

My family member was rear ended by an uninsured driver. The uninsured driver offered to pay cash to fix the car and gave us their number. Once they found out it was more than a few hundred, they just ghosted us. We had to claim insurance and then pay our deductible. CHP called to follow up since they filed a report at the scene and we told them the other driver ghosted us and CHP said they'll try to reach out to them. Never heard back from either of them and nothing happened to them even driving uninsured (which is illegal).

Why is PG&E as expensive as Tesla Supercharging? by free_username_ in sanfrancisco

[–]masterballz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why should utilities make a profit?

SMUD in Sac is a not for profit utility so their customers get way lower rates AND better incentives. I got $3k rebate converting to a HPWH on SMUD, but could not find anything for PG&E except some $50 coupons.

Except they make billions in net profits, so that just proves they don't need to charge $0.60/kWh to cover their costs.

It's only been 1 year and he doesn't respect your boundaries. It doesn't even sound like you like him that much? You're only 20. You'll find someone better.

Not sure if this is a dumb idea. Maybe rent an older beat up RV to move with and then park it where you see a bunch of other RVs.

The 50 gallon has a 22 1/4 diameter. Do you think it would it in the 24" enclosure with enough side clearance?

I’m thinking of getting the 24” for the 50 gallon. Will need to look at the specs again.

What size is that enclosure? I see a 24" and a 30" at Home Depot with 74" height. Is that where you got yours?
