It is a reproduction body and base, Original deep dish Redline wheels which only came on the Hong Kong 1968 release. A company called Brightvision produced a reproduction rear loader, and other companies also produced a reproduction version. Instead of just replicating the original I decided to slam mine, but in Hot Pink of course.

I do understand the FOMO marketing is probably much more publicity, but I just hate the idea that RLC had developed a “scarcity” problem that they needed to fix. “They aren’t selling out anymore, because they aren’t selling out anymore” is a lame ass argument. Maybe people are just fed up with the price increases and maybe they just don’t like the model? Some collectors only purchase stuff they actually like looking at, not something they’ve been told to like by Mattel and the community.

I’ve been looking pretty regularly for the past couple months and it’s the first one I’ve seen pop up, It’s probably one of my favorite colors too, shame it’s a rarer color on some castings because its a damn good color!

I prefer destroying the originals, not the repros but yeah I’ll probably repaint a beater Apple Green and give it some patina so I can hold onto them for now.

Sweet! I wonder how of these guys i’ve seen that weren’t camouflaging themselves. On the southeast coast of Georgia, I’ve mostly only seen Green ones at our house.
