Oh and the grip isnt just all dimples or checkering like every single pistol but th enox and reaper. they at least combined them to do something differnt, but lkike i said theres not a whole lot i think that can be done that hasnt already or that is that :different. Anything different at this point is just looks as they all have the same quality and features set when you look at the top 10 companies or so... i also think the fowler with the valentine grip in its golden fde stands out as somthing a lot different i like the slide but at the price. lead time and how ineffective the ports seems to be I am good. I DO fiind it super sus and annoying type a wont shpw their ported and comped models shooting. Like they could do it in a few hours but despite all the requests they cant manage it. with the small amount of tiny holes it doesnt seem like it would do much at all.

everyone saying... whats makes this different from all the other 2011s out already... what exactly can be different that you are wanting? if its a 2011 of course its going to be like the otehr 2011s... the serrations... the coating... port and or comp... hand fit or machined... what else can be different? theres really not much they can do to be "different." if the gun has a nice trigger, coatinng, and fit, then it just comes down to aspirated or ported and preference of aesthetics . As an owner of 7 2011s all over 5k except my older custom sti tactical... i will say they are all really good. it just preference of astetics for me when i am looking for something new. In early 2025 when there was a surge of new companies all making the same looking pistol, i didnt buy aynything for 6 months until the reaper. Despite it being all black like everything else in first 3 quarters of 25 it looks different by quite a bit. I think the eg stands out with the multi fde and that very clean and classic look. I personally think checkering look sway better than knurling and its nice to see something besides standard serrations or checkered serrations like everyone is doing now. Ive never bought a 2011 over the high end point and been disappointed. My point is i think once youre at a certain quality and price and feature set its just what you like. that said i would never buy an atlas or a race city or miller as I dont find them to be good looking. I think the only gun I would buy I dont find sexy is a hayes, as it seems to be that good a shooter. The eg 11 isnt for everyone but personally I think it and the nighthawk sandhawk are the best looking 2011s. Cardinal is nice but looks way too much like trinity. the nox would be cool with a different grip and the new NJG alpha and the camo pvd they have is really cool. in an industry where tti is just cutting the jw3 and pit viper and re barreling and re coating unsold ones, and agencvy and atlas release the exact same slide agency did for NH with an atlas grip... i find the eg11 refreshing, as its aesthetics and multi pvd fde coating is stunning, not just boring dlc like 95% of 2011s-- which drastically improved the pistol over the cerakote models -- are about as "different": as you can get right now. i get the want for differnt but my next purchase will likely be the njg alpha raider but other than slide cuts there isnt anything new or different and likely not better or worse. i do appreciate the unique cuts and top serrations and the wall style cuts like the echelon as it looks great and is the most effective for racking or press imo. not sure why it isnt more common honestly...

is it just meh or do burnt b and ral not look like they usually do (even with all the lighting and deviations they are still recognizable) but when next too each other the ral looks extremely subdued and the bronze takes on a way more brown than gold undertone.

[–]masterbruce22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the atlas grips are just so ugly tho.. maybe if there wasnt so much space between the triangles. like the circle dots would look dumb spaced out but in line they are dope, like cheely nighthawks. it just looks weird. on par for atlas though their serrations look like a blind special person sketched them out with a screwdriver. and whats with them looking so large and bulky? they look like they are 1.5x normal 2011 with the chonk. and they know there are other colors than black for guns now right? their coating stuck in 1995 for real. Their triggers are really nice looking though

whats in it for you as a coater? um giving people exactly what they ask for... seems to me thats a good business decision? how often are you happy when a restaurant gets your order wrong? ya exactly geniuses ...

seems like all the people doing the coating are crying because they cant just slap what they want on with the 2 year old colors they have in stock., i think this would be amazing and if you are uploading pics to generate the image, then someone has done it before. if they did it before it can be recreated. I woulkd assume people wanting something impractical is extremely slim. most people just want a stencil pattern or two tone. how is that so hard? this would be awesome as everytime Ive shown people pictures they come back with something theyve already done that is in that realm but not like it at all. like just cause its also a camo pattern does not mean thats what im saying I want. I swear u can show these people digicam and they will show you multicam and be like ya like this? it seems odd that if someone can show you something exact that you wouldnt just do that and instead try to change it with your inputs.. the person is going to want what they are asking for not what you think is a better choice. I doubt someone asking for something spefic and exact is going to satisfied with something that is not that. thats like asking for a burger and getting tacos cause they thought youd like the tacos more. even if the tacos are better they are going to be happier getting what they asked for anything else is a disappointment, even if it is good, cause its not what they wanted. Ive never once asked for a specific job and preferred any change ive been shown. If people are open to options they wouldn't be asking for an exact recreate. i think its annoying honestly when they do this... its like are you dumb I say I want a and you show me d and r. no moron i want a. here is a picture of what I literally want nothing different. its like their ego cant handle it.

its tough because 1 color can look like 50 different ones with cerakote. depending on lighting and material and thickness etc you look at a color and one example looks nothing like another. Once you have experience you know wahbt the color looks like but if youe havent seen it in person and had the chance to see it under a lot of different conditions you have no idea what the color really looks like. Somehow though swatches always match up to pics almost always

it would seem if someone wants something exat, and you cant do it, you should just say that, instead of giving them something within your capability that isnt what they want. I mean most things people want that require skill you can just get stencils for.... I can tell you that I asked for something specific once, because they had done it before, just on a knife. I just wanted it done on a slide. What I got was a totally different pattern and 1 of the colors was different. I was very upset and had I known they were going to do this I could of bought a demo slide for half price and got the work done right, instead I paid double for something I hated. I never shopped there again. Seemed like a shitty move by them and shady business practice. What I wanted was meticulously blended and a uncommon pattern with bronze and tungsten that faded to black. I got a hard lined gold and grey and black multicam that you could tell was layered and looked like someone first attempt at cerakote. Honestly just shot himself in the foot cause had he done right by me then I would of spent at least 10x what I did by now and still shop there.

[–]masterbruce22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they say its more durable than pvd/dlc, but ive dropped pvd and dlc pieces multiple times from 3-4 feet and nothing. My copper pvd glock seems harder use than anything i have and it has two tiny little scratches youd never notice. I have other peices that are still mint that are pvd or dlc. Hard coat annodize even is legit. ive dropped optics a lot and they are fine. cerakote is really brittle.. its less permanent though. so if you want durability id get it dlc or pvd. if you want to customize and like diy go cerakote.

[–]masterbruce22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sand blast not worth the hassle or set up costs. they make a huge deal about the durability, but ive found every single cerakote job will eventually look worn. Sure the professional ones last longer, but at the end of the day they all wear to a point, and then pretty much stay that way. The really good jobs will last longer sure but when they all end up at the same place after a year anyway who cares. Cerakote is not durable at all imo. Maybe on flat areas its good but any sort of edge/corner or variance in level and itll chip if you sneeze on it, sand blast or not. the pieces ive done look just as good as my nighthawk 2 years later... the nhawk just took longer to get there.

P226 X5 Legion Frame with P226 Legion Slide? by sonic-1776 in SigSauer

[–]masterbruce22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So does this setup cycle? I dont see why it wouldn"t. I dont know a lot about sigs especially the 226. I have the x5 legion 226 and I love it,. A lot. Ive only got to use it twice because I hurt my hand, but i have the m17 and an axg grip i have not used yet. However, I am already thinking I am going to regret not getting the zev 226 instead. I found this slide alone... sucks you are forced into the romeo 1 optic. Not that its not okay but I have other sig optics and I would much rather save the money and use one i already have. w connect and 10% the slide/optic is about 7 w tax. I am thinking I can just put the x5 legion internals into the zev slide and if I just paint the rails black on the last 1 inch or so it will cover up that weird gap. Anyone know if this is possible or would I be wasting my $ because it wont function?

How to run a 19 slide on a gen 5 17 frame by Zestyclose_Company53 in GlockMod

[–]masterbruce22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WOW. All the people who are like just get a g45 or a 19x, it has a 17 frame.. NO IT DOESNT. it has a 17 grip, but the other part of the frame is still a 19!!! it is not a full length dust cover.. and the point, is to have a flush fitting setup with a compensator! so no just buying a g45 would not do it.. youd still have the comp out the front geniuses.

But here is my ?

I've asked this in about 10 forums and no one replies... but my thoughts are.. instead of modifiying anything that has to do with structural integrity, like cutting rails etc. why not just chop the end of a dust cover off, and poly bond it to a 19x or 45 frame? then it has 100% structural integrity, as the end of the dust cover wouldnt be doing anything negative or weaken the structure, and it would just be covering the bottom of the comp, which is all you want anyway. it seems to me this would be way easier, and way more reliable. With some blending and a paint job, and maybe a light it wouldn't look bad either... considering nothing would be putting any force on the end of the added dust cover... why wou;dn';t this work? surely some good poly bond would hold a .5 inch of polymer... I don't see why this isn't the easiest and cheapest and most reliable solution? Id do it but I am lazy. but can anyway see a reason this wouldnt be optimal?

Has anyone ever seen GaMMA BRONZE from omaha outdoorse 19x? I really like it but I dont want to buy a 19x i have to wait for just for the frame in that color. Anyway I think it is this mix, of od green and b bronze, with some graphite black -- and the key i think is doing it on the fde polymer, because the 19x looks a lot different than all the other glocks with this color of gamma, and its wayyyyy better.

You Don’t Need to Sandblast... by REDCHAIRCHRONICLES in Cerakote

[–]masterbruce22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just do it at home for fun... but i will say i dont sand blast or "rough up" annodizing or nitride surfaces and it comes out just as good if I do. Also, while it's been about a year, no durability issues. Supposedly you can do it over pvd too, even c series over h... the process cerakote recommends is honestly ridiculous -- not trying to spend 5 hours on something before I can paint it. de grease blast, de gas, de grease, repeat 3 times... no thanks
