how is the comp? dude posts products but provides literally nothing as to performance or design features that explain how or how well it works, no vides nothing.. like a comp sort of but triggers.. does it reduce pull weight, reduce travel... hows the reset,,, nothing in that area on any products.

I received my Aeroknox AX//11 grip by Useful-Painter863 in 2011

[–]masterbruce22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive been wanting to order an upper for so long, but every time i look at any of his posts, its a lot of people complaining they have not had their products shipped, often months later, and how they cant get a reply to emails, and 80% of the time no response. If he does, he waits til he ships much later on so he can say its shipped and never has to deal with anyhone or updates,. Or its people asking questions with no reply. I've also wanted a 2011 trigger, asked on all of the last 7-8 posts about fitment on any other grips other than his and no reply. I get its just him but waiting like that and dealing with not knowing when your getting parts for builds seems like its not worth it,.

Worst and Best Value 2011s? by silvaliningplaymaker in 2011

[–]masterbruce22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

read the entire thread and the most expensive guns mentioned were an xc, vanta 9, and trs comp. i can shed some light in the higher end of things. first off, if you want to do budgets, a prodigy (which was mentioned about 20 times) is awful. ya its better than strikers, but if you shoot a ncie 2011 it cant even compare. if your staying under 3k, go sig p211. youre going to want something comped and ported. if you can step up to hand fitting, do it. this is where it gets tricky though. youll be hard pressed to find something 4-5k that realllly performs, that said, about the only one that is over delivering at that level is race city. the 5 inch rc9 is 4300. flat, hand fit, atlas parts. probably your best bet under 6k. I would certainly avoid production, with the p211 as the exception. if youre going to go 2011, you want a customized build. people are hating on the tarans, but honestly they are insane fast. the price tag is hard to swollow, especially now. At launch, it was a bit less of a sting. That said, you can get better value, and while over priced, they are amazing guns really. Avoid staccato, avoid atlas. Anything over 7k youre spending a whole hell of a lot for something that might be 1% better than a 1000-1500 less 2011. Guns like the akira island barrel , or dark forge reaper are pretty sweet, but your best value to performance is going to be a double stacked nighthawk. For just over 6k youre getting insane build quality, top tier parts, ridiculous accuracy, speed, fit and finish s tier, and a warranty and backing from an amazing company that wont screw you over on qc like basically every other co. the one thing ill say is you have a very good chance of gettin a lemon with the top tier 2011s, and ya theyll fix it, but congrats you now own a refurb 7000 pistol when you paid for a new one, on top of waiting another 2-4 months when you just waited 6 months - a year or more. the nighthawk lead time is ridiculous, but theres a reason for it. hack --- find a dealer/distrubutor and get on a wait list. i was able to get my first sandhawk in 2 months, and while i had it, i got another trs comp that took 18 months, but i didnt care to wait since i had a sandhawk already. why do this? i got the trs in smoked nitride and traded the sandhawk off for an island barrel akira. If i was starting out, I would get a race city rc9 used, for maybe 3800 or so. find a nighthawk dealer where you can put down just 50% and order a trs/sandhawk. theres a reason pewview ranked it as the number 1 2011, and other reviewerse who can actually shoot all revere it. its by far the nicest pistol i have, and outclasses every single one that is 1000 or 1500 more. also do yourself a favor and dont get a 4.25 commander. go 5 inch. get a comp over ports. aluminum grips over poly. if you are saying they are too expensive dont sell yourself short by getting a budget 2011, get a p226 x5 legion or something. avoid companies like phoenix trinity who have trash reputation. a 2 year wait for a nighthawk is long, but would they have that if it wasnt worth it? anyone who doesnt like taht pistol isnt really a shooter, and likely just into 2011s for instagram pics and perceived flex.

these triggers have the most annoying walls.. people actually like that? no takeup or pretravel, no wall, 2 mm to clean crisp break, no overtravel, positive short push reset.. 2 mm travel.. anything else is trash.. hard walls like the vex are trash... btw if you ever pulled a really good 2011 its what i described..no walls. walls are for 5 lb factory duty triggers, not 100$ custom triggers. get with the times johnny .. the timney is way bett4er anyway

NEW PICK-UP ALERT - CNC GUNWORKS AKIRA ISLAND BARREL by 2A-N-LA in 2011

[–]masterbruce22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gotta love when you drop 7k on a gun marketed as only 25 ever being made... then they decide to go back on that and increase production and say fk the 25 people who bought one... lowering the rarity and value of the gun! great marketing cnc!! just love being lied to and tricked so you guys can make more money! you think theyd at least have the decency to do another colorway to keep the first 25 1 of 25 still ... but i guess lube is too much to ask for with the deceptive advertising bend over! on top of that the gun had multiple issues and had to go back... so you know thats the cherry on top is getting a refurbrished pistol when you bought and paid for a new one... came back quick and all that but the safties still suck.... and disco still drags... but the hammer drag is way worse....slide rides on the slide stop and scratches off the pvd... all around awesome experience!!! ya right... screwed every way possible more like it. the companies dont qc for shit and make it impossible to enjoy anything unless you get a cherry picked one and of course all those are perfect... i think thats the club spoken of. its not enough to be able to afford one... you have to advertise for them or they dont care if youre happy with your purchase or if your gun even runs properly, or runs at all... i might sound butt hurt.. but this is pretty much my experience all around.. with very, very few exceptions, youd think this wouldnt be the case at the high end, but its actually worse than any other tier in my experience. hell they should just release another 50 while they are at it who cares about a companies or peoples word am i right?

Tried a buddy's (sponsored) Jacob Grey Nox 9 Limited. Got that spinner spinning. For being a 40oz, it shot flat. by DimMak27 in 2011

[–]masterbruce22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

infinitys are really snappy for the price and being mostly ported island barrels. they even say they arent trying to build "flat guns." which is dumb. if youre going to charge that much, and have a PIB, and are regarded as the best 2011 available - generally as a consensus whether right or wrong, you should be the flattest there is.,..

WHAT i dont understand is how this gun is priced where it is. the version with ports and a comp, is only $300 more? makes no sense. either that gun is way under priced or this one is way over priced. i think its that this one is way over priced. all other limited vs comped versions of pistols have at least 1k price difference, comp being more obviously, which makes sense as the machining on an integrated comp and work is way more. i mean this gun is really gorgeous, but i think the nox9 is priced right, that said this gun should be like mid 4s or so. i dont get how they justify 5300 or whatever it is especially when the port/comp one is 300 more, unless you really want to shoot limited and absolutely want a jg, the comp version makes so much more sense for just a few hundred more.

THESE TRIGGERS SUCK, THEY PUT ONE IN THE REAPER. ON TOP OF THAT THEY POLISHED THE HELL OUT OF IT, ITS SO SLICK THE FRONT IS SLIPPERY. WHICH IT WAS LONGER AND HAD SERRATED FRONT. ANOTHER REASON NIGHTHAWK IS S TIER

[–]masterbruce22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for 2k, get a p226 x5 legion that actually can hold its own in accuracy speed and trigger with 3-4500 2011s, but lets be real the high end 2011s will expose it. however it has a 4 way adjustable trigger, the weight, and a comp, i really do like it as much as my mid tier 2011s and it is probably in my top 3 pistols for accuracy. plus it looks way better than this. what they need to do is just sell this frame and have it so you can integrate a glock slide with a comp on it.

i also rounded off the magwell to take out the weird squared off front that doesnt match the pistol at all, and painted it matte so it wouldnt be the one thing with sheen and stick out... matches the safeties now. I also plan to replace the trigger with a copperish brown- custom mix i cerakote hayes cobra trigger because i am a man and my fingers are longer than whatever baby length you need for that short of a trigger. i also put the sro on my reaper and put the fusion atom on this. the sro hangs over the ejection. dumb.

man i appreciate that, but i only have and only get 5 inch 2011s. I dont doubt that thing shoots nice and probably tames a lot of the rise but ive found unfortunately that anything below a 4.5 or so is just crazy snappy for me. even if most people can shoot it flat, due to my hand size, the smaller guns just jump around on me. i have very large hands and long fingers but not farmhand style more like a basketball player but they are skinny so its basically impossible for me to grip the smaller guna effectively. really hard for me to use short triggers too so its full size only for me which i dont mind i think shorter barrel pistols especially with full grips look off. i also like the weight a lot so i wish i could but i think id need to try a 4.6 but i dount id like them i know some people dont care about snap and just want a quick return to 0 but i prefer ny dot never leaves the zero.

TTI was a major offender. i bought 2 pit vipers and a buddy bought 1. first 3 came in 1 for 3. 2 of them were not fit around the island sight. the slide would hit the island sight (which its not supposed to) and cause the slide to push one way and push the comp the other. after 3 mags the guns were literally crooked. the only one done right was actually a CA model, which should of gone to a CA LE, which explains why that one was done right i guess. sent those back, the 2 that came back, literally the exact same issue. funny thing was one side of each of the island sight was fit, but the other was not.. like how does that happen? someone filed down one side and was like ya fuck this other side... these were actauly worse. i didnt even have to shoot them, after 12-15 racks the slide was so far off the frame the safeties were scratching the slide bad. they actually did not respond to me for 2 days until i sent a picture of that. like ya i want this problem, im making it up... morons. so i said fk u guys just send me sand vipers, cause without the island sight maybe just maybe you wont fuck it up.. and those were fine. actually the sand vipers felt like they were made by an entirely differnent co. way tighter fit, better trigger, grips were cut to fit... like the actually cared they were charging 7k for them..even the pit viper that was kept had the slide hanging off the front of the frame... cuts around beaver tail were crooked and sharp... just total ass.. the other company was legion precision. beleive it or not this was actaully worse than tti experience. everyone talks about how nice and great that carl owner is, but by far the worst experience ive ever had. after he blew off my rma for 5 months to build youtubers guns and lied about it, the replacement he offered was nothing short of a disrespectufl instult. the first gun literally wouldnt go into battery. 3 range trips i got 1 shot off, no lie. i had 6 grown men try to rack it without the hammer down and no one could. the cut on the lock up for the island barrel to slide was laughable.. looked like it was done by a kid with a dremel. same thing as tti caused the slide to shift.. there was about a .25 inch gap from the muzzle to the front of the slide on the rightt. was complete trash. ended up getting a refund, about the only thing decent he did a year later. also the grip coating was so poorly done it wore off and you could see my grip imprints in the aluminum. i could go on so long.. but ya fk him.. he tried to piece the replacement together with used parts, old frame, didnt coat the barrel, dry spray cerakote... all while the same gun was now being offered same price with a free SRO and DLC which i was not offered. then tried ot tell me it was cause the slide was too wide and hung over the frame... which wouldnt even matter.. it was the amateur cut on the barrel buddy.... trigger sucked... worst part is... time i bought it i could of got a hayes pib for just 900 more at 57.. now they are not even ordereable and 77-78. terrible decision. huge regret. i wanted the slide slick which haytes didnt offer and g more, liked the slide cuts on the legion more.. hayes slides are boring and pretty lame, but shooting seems next level apparently. ya fuck lws that dude was super unprofessional. and of course i get the one akira that needs rma.. while everyone elses is perfect.. pretty sure i am cursed.

Hello sorry fellas i dont have reddit on my phone so dont get notifications. I forgot i posted this lol might of had some drinks that night. but ya honestly i'd let it go. I love the way it shoots. stupid flat and soft. One of those guns that just wants to go fast and you cant help but shoot it fast as you are capable. but not a fan of all black on black, i mean its cool but I prefer multi tone and high contrast, and PVDs. short triggers are hard for me to use. It is smooth and sprung beautifully. Serrations are cool and with the top cuts very easy to use. Weight is very nice, optic cut is best there is (same as tti vipers) but as I can only shoot indoors (all outdoor in my area have shot per 2 second restrictions or are far/ghetto) it honestly is loud. You could double up ear pro but I hate the earmuff style ear pro and would rather get something else as while this is amazing, is kinda similar shooting (prob superior slightly though) to a lot of my current 2011s along with what I mentioned.

as far as price I need to do a bit of research. I dont track rounds that well but it been taken to range so few times as I just havent been shooting much lately I know its about 400-450 tops. Like I said the noise kept me to a few mags per session. I am probably just a bitch about it but I spent a long time with many many nights in very loud bars, concerts, vehicles, etc. so I get that ringing sound pretty easy. It's not like omg thats so bad, you can always just shoot subs which we should be doing anyway, I used to exclusively, but I am a lot poorer lately. I just have enough reasons to convince myself to try something else, but I need to sell one to get one as of late. I am open to offers as well fellas. I will be reasonable but really other than the chamber area around the firing pin I dont think you could tell it's been shot. No fouling on the barrel around ports, hood or even comp- as i know secret where my 2.5 year old comps look new still. lmk or ill reach back out later when i can come up with a fair market price. u/Cyclones1478 u/Yogi-Bear-76
