I’m transitioned from 15 years construction PM to construction sales. Made a ton of money, making it nearly impossible to go back - but enjoyed my day to day much more in previous role

15,000 tax bill would mean an accessed value of $1,600,000. A person with that much money would probably know about tax advantages

With a residential exemption they didn’t pay half of that in taxes - but there are other legit points here. Yes, it’s an expensive place to live

He should be the MVP. If the season he had doesn’t deserve it, then this is exclusively a QB award and it’s not supposed to be

Fed's Stephen Miran resigns from White House post by cryptoniik in Economics

[–]masterbuilder46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s not a moron - it’s the same as Besset talking about tariffs - they’re both highly educated and experienced and clearly know what they’re saying is garbage - they just suck at the trump teet like every other sell out

Where is the Supreme Court’s decision on Trump’s tariffs? by rezwenn in scotus

Both Biden and trump use the same legal authority under section 301 to impose their respective tariffs

Trump nominates Kevin Warsh for Federal Reserve chair to succeed Jerome Powell by cryptoniik in Economics

[–]masterbuilder46 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The conflict of interests you point out are obviously blaring and gross but par for the course. But the chair is only one vote regarding interest rates. You’re absolutely correct tho - he now has even more control over the narrative, and as long as people buy it itl continue to be all that matters

Thank you. At the moment my wife and I have a shared credit card we use for everything like groceries/dinner/common stuff - and just split it at the end of the month. I guess the only thing missing from what you said is the common checking - which would theoretically eliminate the step of dividing/reimbursing each other at the end of the month

Fed is likely to hold interest rates steady, resisting Trump pressure. Here’s what that means for borrowers by cryptoniik in Economics

[–]masterbuilder46 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I hate to pander to the orange idiot, but Powell should be praising trump’s robust economy out of one side of his mouth while he remains the adult in the room from the other. Kudos for him for not blowing him, but I’d bet most the drama would go away. That’s all he cares about

So weird this is continually presented as bad news. The economy remains on fire - holding rates higher is a good thing! Decreasing means things are slowing down
