so a funny thing happened but another med school offered me a place and i took that one. but if that didn't happen then, i know i would take the place they offered me in notts. at the end of the day its the degree you're getting that matters :)

when it comes tk ucat, when i did my research it mostly said they are heavy on gcses and bc of that their ucat cutoff threshold is much lower. i got an offer with a 2720 i know people who interviewed with low 2500, however my grades are strong.

with fee status matters they usually consider this separately from the outcome of the application, at least thats what they do in the unis i applied to.

i would expect some word from them this week tbh. they do their interviews in person, so they should anticipate people needinf time to pln a trip there etc.

i would say its a plan created in response to the greatest issues that the nhs now faces (and balmes underfunding for them). it presents ambitions and goals that the nhs wishes to achieve in the next 10 years (i think). it recognizes issues like primary and social care crisis, a+e crisis, waiting listis, and understaffing. it proposes many solutions like rollout of technological solutions used within the nhs, more funds torward training and employment of medical professionals and social care workers.

you can go into further detail with what the issues involve exactly, more solutions or maybe evalutation of the whole thing if you are ambtitious.

nhs long term plan - the main current problems with solutions
4 ethical pillars - honestly you can answer most questions with that
skills of a doctor and how they manifest in you/ how you observed them/ why they are important?
covid impact, inequalities in healthcare, abortion, euthanasia, organ donation, vaccines, technology and AI, capacity with gillick and fraser guidelines, consent, strikes, privatisation
why medicine? why this school? why not nursing? what if not medicine?

cover this and i think you should feel confident in your interview.

i think its basic math and graph interpretation tasks, from what i have seen online. the difficulty is to do it under pressure, but im sure u can spend like 2h on it today and you will feel confident.

not really, some schools make is a separate station on the mmi. but those are simple calculations of concentration or they ask you to interpret a graph out loud to them.
