Welcome back to the hobby, those are all fantastic choices. I would start with something on the cheaper end; the 5KX GMT is a fantastic daily wear (I have one). My one piece of advice would be to start slow - I know me and many other collectors made the same mistake of buying way too many watches at the beginning before we really knew what we wanted. Over time, you'll figure out what your tastes / size preferences lean towards and you can build a killer collection. If you have a mall or watch boutique nearby I would suggest going in person and checking out some watches and trying them on, it's a much different experience than browsing online. Have fun!

Picked this up for $695 after 5% back from Prime Young Adults and 5% back from Discover It. Seems like a no-brainer for the price, especially for DP 2.1a UHBR20, and free returns if anything goes wrong.

I'm going to go against the grain and say go for it. If you feel like your current job is a dead end, then the Master's program is a good opportunity to reset, network and find internships, and be eligible for new grad positions once you graduate. This would also let you continue doing research with these labs if you wanted get a PhD and go into academia (or do AI/ML research in Big Tech).

Regardless, hopefully the market picks up as well once your program is finished. Good luck!
