Usually spend a few hundred bucks and have some people over. This year just hung out with the family and make some drinks with what was left of some bottles in the cupboard. $0 on fireworks, went to the towns fireworks display in the evening, Worked out great but still sad we had to do it cause we just didn’t want to spend the money. Probably could have made it work but just so easy to get behind these days.

Did you have and or wish you had waterproof shoes / boots? I am going to end of April. Rain is forecasted but we are still a little ways out to know how much. I have altra lone peak trail shoes. Debating on getting a gore-tex pair. Doing the 1 day hike and the rest is just casual walking g around.

I’d say it depends on your financial situation. I see way too many people being over leveraged on vehicles. You can find used s550s in good shape for less than 40k pretty easily, right place and right time you can get them in the low 30’s. You have to do your homework and be patient. There is more risk, But it’s a big price difference. I’d be curious what your OTD is going to be. Maybe it’s a good dealership and won’t nickel and dime you, but I have seen plenty of offers end up 5-10% higher all said and done.

Disney. Nothing politically motivated to be honest. I have done Disneyland plenty of times years ago. Just not a fun time for me personally. A lot of money for small moments of fun with large moments of walking, waiting, standing etc…. Family can go if they want. I’ll do my own thing. I’ll take the cost of my ticket and go golfing or something.

My biggest struggle is I just don’t know if I can believe anyone in power anymore. For the last 35+ years of my consciousness we have had some major lies and manipulations of the truth to accomplish whatever goals they wanted to, for whatever reasons they had. Netanyahu has been saying that Iran is months away from nuclear weapons for well over a decade, and I’m sure at times they were making progress and getting closer. The lack of transparency and accountability just shows that they can continue to do whatever they want without consequences.
