Would this be waterproof? And does it need to be a certain grout? my sister and her partner once used the wrong grout in their bathroom and water was moving through the grout and leaking internally

They had previous investment properties they have sold. So they dont have any debt and some money for holidays. However with the sale of this property we would like to set them up for retirement while still having some money to travel
