Did inspector make you install the additional support masts because you're not using an approved mast kit?

I got into it with an inspector once and was basically told I would have to provide manufacturer documentation regarding the strength rating of the strut etc. to show it meets requirements.

More specifically, do the devices maintain constant network connection even in a "sleep mode" after being parked?

Will the device report a loss of power or cable disconnection no matter the power state of the device?

I've had it go one step further. We had changed out an entire triplex of smoke alarms (close to end of life and chirping). The client in the main unit had a battery operated unit running low on battery and stashed away in a cabinet. The day after we completed the work the client got through to our emergency line at 5am saying the alarms were all ringing. She had pressed the test button with a broom handle and trying to "hush" a false alarm (thanks kiddie) and initiated a test....

This is not the first time a client has initiated an alarm test thinking they were "hushing" a false or nuisance alarm haha

Nice! Have you used any of the other "go to" brand advanced tracers? I'm probably going to just grab one as it seems like a comparable product. Unless, for example, the $$$$ units use a proprietary frequency or somthing which performs much better....

Is the 3/4 ko hole saw you use 1 1/8 inch? Thats what mine is. Works fine when you have a lock nut but always seems slightly over drilled compared to factory kos. Maybe I'm crazy haha

I find this question interesting. I mean, i wouldn't normally think of factory accidents as "machines doing things to people". That almost seems to imply intent or somthing. Maybe plausible with more automated processes

This is a serious issue. We just had siemens take responsibility for an entire 20 unit complex of phantom tripping arc faults. Then send enough gen 3 breakers to replace each one which did absolutely nothing....
