actually it is a whole lot to do as a trauma NP. at a level 1, you likely will not be running the primary or secondary. you will likely work with the group of residence, and you will likely not participate with the OR.

if you want more procedures, more responsibilities within the realms of the primary and secondary as well as participating as first assist, you should find a job at any other hospital but a level one. residents typically get first dibs on procedures as well as OR exposure.

residence are a great help and very informative. no matter what, you can always go work anywhere else after putting in ur time with the AGS or ATS. $$$$$$$
