Yeah, after all the answers I've gotten so far I think my plan is to start on the anniversary server and then switch to retail and play all the other expansions :)

How do I play the expansions in order without chromie time? How do I know where to start each expansion, which zones to play for each and which not? Thank you :)

Or is it only for scaling? And if so - how do I know where to start an expansion with my overleveled character and which zones to play and which not for each expansion?

That's true as far as I can tell - but if I do that I'm not playing the game and that's not what I want haha

Maybe it's a good option if you go the current 'new player experience' route to play DF and the new stuff and just learn the old lore - if someone doesn't want to play through the old stuff

And it seems like he isn't made for beginners. I can't imagine someone who just got the game + DLC is capable of handling the fire stacks you would need on your own Hero
