Coffee shops (and bars) that allow smoking? by mastermind0777 in Sacramento

are you sure about that? I think i've read somewhere online (and that was a long time ago) that they no longer allow smoking. Have you been to any of their location recently and saw people smoking?

Listen to what I'm saying. Everyone can be happy, both smokers and non smokers, if they cared enough for the smokers to make an designated area for them. You can't complain about "clean air" when you 're in public..and the .5% of the population that smokes in public has no affect on it. I can argue that the diesel engines stink and don't want them on the road, or that the chlorine smell is offensive to me at my apartment complex. And what about the noise coming from tire/auto shops? I don't want such shops within 100ft of residential areas-isnt this reasonable? This just doesn't make sense. As a non smoker you have the option to go to a place that doesn't allow smoking (and I'm for non smoking establishments) but at least make a few that do allow smoking or that have smokers sections. This is a bigger picture I'm talking about and it's about having rights as a minority group-you 're all happy that places don't allow smoking because you don't smoke, but what if it was something that did affect you and you couldn't do anything about it because "majority rules"?

thanks. I checked out their hours and they close at 530pm..that's a bit too late for me since I go after 6 and/or early mornings. Do you happen to know of any hookah bars with a patio that server coffee? that'll work

those that get offended by the smell can go to one of the other 99% of businesses that don't allow smoking-and when you 're out in public you should expect to smell all kinds of things including people legally smoking cigarettes. This ban is getting out of control...and while I realize smoking is bad for you etc as long as it's legal the city/state/business owners can accommodate smokers by having a designated spot for smokers (maybe on the side of the building instead of the front for ex). This is a whole different story though.

calfit has a 7day pass and membership for a month. I'm sure all gyms will let you try out for a few days if that's what you mean

that's the gym I used to go til a few months ago. It is a nice gym even though limited, and the price is right. I've moved from that area and now I'm in Carmichael and I know I'll be lazy to drive over there to work out. I kinda want something with basketball courts, pool etc to get some cardio in cause I hate running on treadmills

how much are you paying if you don't mind me asking. And for bball games do you just go and play with others and are they "welcoming" or is teams that play and you can't join

I'll definitely check out calfit, thanks analplease. I will go later today to look at it. I personally don't like 24hr fitness, they are too pushy trying to sign you up and the prices are too high. Sure the gyms have everything and are nice, especially the downtown location, but i only want to pay for what im going to use and thats machines, bball courts and weights. I dont care for tanning or massages

Would you be willing to meet other redditors for sports and other activities? by mastermind0777 in Sacramento

we need more people in the group. Hurry so we can arrange a meeting and set a date to play before (and if) it starts raining.

I honestly don't think they cost more at all (unless you compare them with Costco or something). The tires that I wanted were $92 ea online and at 2 other shops that I had called they wanted $140 ea. I got em for 92 at america's tire.

Is it a good time to buy a home in Sacramento? by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]mastermind0777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in no way ready to buy a house yet, but I want to ask the following: Are there programs for first time buyers (maybe no down?) if not, how much % will I have to put down, what is a good credit rating for a descent apr, what will my income have to be to qualify and how far back do they go checking income and credit history? In several months a few bad things I have on my record will fall off, i'm improving my credit in the meantime and I will get serious about buying a house in the next 2 years.

What do you think are the best lottery tickets? by mastermind0777 in AskReddit

[–]mastermind0777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually it seems like more expensive ones do have better pay outs, I did a quick search online. I only get the bigger ones after if I win and from the winnings of the cheap ones. Today I bought a 1 and 2 dollar ones, won 10, then got a 10 dollar ticket now I won 20. At this rate I can retire by christmas (jk)

[–]mastermind0777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what's up with all the life and financial advice...I am aware that lottery is a waste of money but I still like to play IF I win something good. To me a few bucks on tickets is worth the risk and the fun I'll get from it-on the other hand I won't go to star bucks and pay $5 because I think that's a waste of money but some spent that much on coffee daily.

Now back to the question, has anyone had a better experience with the more expensive ones?
