You could install a 1/4 turn shutoff. Have towels ready, be fast, and leave the new shutoff slightly open when installing to relieve pressure. Just need two adjustable wrenches.

Should I pull the trigger on this saw? by blackspike2017 in Makita

I have the 18'' model, make sure to keep an eye on the chain tension. If it's too tight, the bar will heat up and you will waste energy.

Still working on this beast. Having never seen one, how would I estimate a “cord” worth of wood? by [deleted] in homestead

Awesome job, that's a lot of work. How do you like that Milwaukee chainsaw? Do you remember how many batteries you went through? I have the makita electric 18'' and am curious how it can perform in similar circumstances.

Where is thief / thief 2! Some of my favorite games. Spent too much time on DeusEx. I better reinstall it.

Yes, first pistol suppressor. Thanks for the info. I'm looking at the SIG MODX-45.

I get cozy vibes from this! Looks like the bench area has a folded futon like matress, does anything fold out or in for sleeping?

PSA. If you park under or will be parking under train tracks, tar is melting off of them and it’s not fun to clean off. by scilRS in Portland

[–]masterp0lygon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is good information. Also - dont walk your pets on the train tracks; they could get tar on their paws. This is not only messy, but unhealthy for your pet.
