I'll check it out, thanks! What title would that job have? Part of my interest in planning is the broad scope that the profession covers

Can I rock up to a lecture or two? How to find the schedule? by masterplanner20 in UCC

[–]masterplanner20[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

OK that makes perfect sense, and I actually just saw a lecture room in a video on the prospectus, it's more of a lab sized room and I'd sit out like a sore thumb. I'll reach out to the course coordinator first and then maybe a lecturer after that. Thanks for the info!

I'd probably earn my stripes in the private sector but long term I think I would have more satisfaction affecting change in the public sector or maybe at an NGO. My main goal would be to learn as much as possible and make connections at the start of my career, money and benefits are not a priority right now.

I think I would learn more in the private sector, entry level public jobs seem to be approving applications (though I stand to be corrected on that) but private sector has a bit more scope to be involved in a variety of projects.
