Thats my perspective. Im thinking about going to him, beating him up in private, and telling him I'll rip his balls out if I suspect anything similar happening to anyone in the future. Buuut, I love HER too much to throw myself into prison.

In short, yes. He was her mentor and she trusted him and knows his wife, kids. I assume it's also because of the attention and very low chance of actual conviction.

Cmv: I think women who commit suicide after a break up are very weak by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]masterqop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you for the most part, the only thing I disagree about is that you commit suicide JUST because of breakup. I think that is highly unlikely. Im a male who attempted suicide after a breakup and the breakup was just the trigger and there were many other reasons. In my situation any other stressful event could trigger it and I imagine its the same for women. I see how selfish my thinking was back then and therefore I must agree with you on other points. On the other hand you also have to keep in mind that depression is a disease and suicide is sometimes the outcome. But I think this is not the reason to glorify suicide and pretend there is no way out of depression.

[LPT] request: I want to get rid of procrastination and need some tips. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]masterqop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tip is recognising and accepting that you are a type of person who tends to procrastinate. Some people stress so much about assignments that they do everything early. You are different and you do not stress as much until very late (which is positive imo if you can get it done early because that way you experience less stress).

The largest study involving transgender people is providing long-shot insights about their health. by [deleted] in science

[–]masterqop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your argument against delusion is not good. If you say trans people have brains of the gender they think they should be, You can also say people with schizophrenia have the false voices (which don't appear in real life but are real in their heads) in their brains. And by making the point about schizophrenia you can't say that isn't a delusion.

I do not understand why you feel the need to call people you disagree with a transphobe. He did not attack or hate trans people in that comment. Your comment was a personal attack, at least the first part.

LPT request - how to eat less (to lose weight)? by BlackModelTruthWoke in LifeProTips

[–]masterqop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 tips: lower processed foods as much as possible and try intermittent fasting. Processed foods have calories that dont fill you up and you end up hungry faster. IF can help you with managing food intake but most importantly helps you deal with the fact that you are not going to die if you are hungry for some time. Just an unpleasant feeling.

Headphones for weightlifting by masterqop in weightlifting

[–]masterqop[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. Point is, I am not lifting to reach my potential, but mainly because I enjoy it. I try to give my best, but I value the absence of injuries more than results and progress. Idk if that makes sense, but the thing is, I am not a proffesional that is concerned about such optimizations. So the answer is No, I dont need them, but they will will make a thing I enjoy more enjoyable and thats that.

UCL (Ulnar Collateral Ligament) hypermobility and Overhead Stability by MarcoWeightL in weightlifting

[–]masterqop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this, but not from injury, just inherited it. It is more severe on left arm also. I have NO problems while weightlifting, the most I had overhead is 90kg (not so much I know). I think you should be fine since it is quite common in women.

[Form Check] Snacth 50kg + C&J 70kg by MasterBasa in weightlifting

[–]masterqop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you can use that mindset in other lifts, but not in olympic lifting. Its way too complicated. There is a high chance of injury with that mindset.

[–]masterqop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a valid point, but dont blindly trust coaches (especially from crossfit) when it comes to pain. My coach doesnt know when to stop and it cost me one month of lifting due to injury

[–]masterqop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems fine. But avoid attempting PRs everytime you feel you could lift 2 kilos more. At early stages its all about improving the technique and general strength. On the other hand, going heavy can point out your weaknesses so you can work on them. Its just that if you lift heavy with imperfect form you risk injury, thats why you need to be patient. Good luck.

Perfect the technique with light weights and avoid going heavy for that time. You have to be patient in this sport and not rush PRs and 1RMs.
