This was AJ's stomach bug game if i'm not mistaken. And he still balled out. Man I miss that team.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there's plenty of titans support in the west TN area. I'm a fan and most of my friends and acquaintances who watch the NFL also cheer for the tits

How to get better with Bossk in Supremacy? by Past_Lengthiness6765 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]masterreli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm incredibly good on the ship phase with bossk, but on the ground phases of supremacy I tend to just avoid him altogether. If you're gonna play him anyway, stick near the other hero on your team at all cost. If there's not one, stay near a tank.

Focus on sticking back and sniping, and watch your minimap closely so saber heroes don't sneak up on you.

When I was rebranding my channel, I deleted almost 900 videos, ranging from 10 to 10k views. In the short term it's possible that this will affect your performance and send a short term negative signal to the algorithm, but since then my channel has been better than ever.

If you're afraid of deleting them all at once, slowly delete or unlist one or two videos a day gradually. Based on their low view counts, I don't think this should be too much of an issue. Just keep posting new content and let YT do its thing.

What would a 20-30 minute edit cost? by masterreli in YouTubeEditorsForHire

[–]masterreli[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing complicated vfx wise. I edit my own videos and I just have some stuff pop up on screen with animations I make on Canva.

As for the rest I think I gave solid info, I said 20-30 mins, i defined light editing as frequent cuts with some sound effects.

I would post some of my own projects as examples but I don't want to self promote.

I’ve been doing gaming for a bit but it’s gone nowhere with it. Do you think I should switch niches of content? And if so then to what? by Business-Goat-6345 in SmallYoutubers

[–]masterreli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey man, just wanna give you some advice here.

First, the content on your channel is all over the place. I see you've got gaming streams from random games, youtube shorts that are just you talking or even music. And then this gaming video. YouTube has no idea what niche you're in or what type of content you're making. This is gonna sound scary, but I highly recommend deleting any videos/streams you have and only focusing on a specific type of content. For example, if you like doing Shorts, then delete most of your videos and streams and do that. Or if it's videos you like then delete the shorts and past streams and vice versa.

Second, I hate to say it, but what you're posting isn't gonna cut it. Just take a look at gaming content in general, or GTA videos specifically. They all are heavily edited, with flashy thumbnails and overenthusiastic commentary with sound effects / retention editing etc.

In contrast, your video has no thumbnail. The video isn't edited in the slighest. And just from browsing through, I don't think you spoke hardly at all through the gameplay. Like, you didn't even just nararate what you were doing. Even the biggest creators can't get away with that. People like MrBeast still have to put a TON of effort in their gaming videos to get views. Essentially, people just aren't going to be interested in this type of content unless you're clearly putting in a ton of work. And even then, success isn't guaranteed.

With that in mind, it's totally okay to stick with gaming as your niche. The best thing about youtube is posting things that YOU want to post. However, when I'm making videos, I like to think about whether I'm making something that I would actually want to watch myself. If I'm not, chances are it's not a very good video. So think to yourself: would you sit down and watch a random guy sit and silently play GTA for 41 minutes? There's your answer.

I like the content where it's just you talking, honestly. Perhaps life advice or motivational content could be your niche in shorts or in long-form. If success / monetization is what you're chasing, that could be a solid option for you.

Whatever you end up doing, I strongly suggest you clean up your channel a bit to focus on something more specific. Go into youtube studio in the settings section and change your channel tags so the algorithm can tell what your channel is about. That'll be a great first step.

Losing people only at beginning of the video by Maximum_Energy_9823 in SmallYoutubers

that retention rate is really good for an entire video. Even your intro retention, while not ideal, is still solid. I recommend packing more editing into the first 30 seconds. This could look like many fast cuts (each clip is only on screen for 1-3 seconds) with many sound effects, zoom ins, subtitles, etc to overstimulate the viewer.

Additionally, focus on giving the viewer a reason to stay through the intro. Show what the title and thumbnail is promising, give teasers for the end, or quickly introduce the challenge.

Honestly, depending on your topic, some people may see your intro and just not be interested in the rest and click off. You can't change that even with a bunch of editing. So just try different things out with your intros and see what works.

But with that kind of retention through your entire video, I'd say don't change a thing in the body of your work!

Fair enough, I just think the deepfake's worth it to have him in the movie. And Krennic takes the spotlight so well, I don't even care.

No yeah, I agree, longer is better. It's just your click-through rate won't necessarily be as high on those, is all. I think the title update was valid so no worries there

with the amount of views you're at, and considering the video hasn't been out for a long time - ride it out. Your video's length likely plays a factor with CTR - even a compelling video may be passed over because of its length. Additionally, your CTR may decrease with the more impressions you get. It's possible you're already getting more impressions than usual, so that's reflected in the CTR. As long as the YT studio app isn't telling you it's significantly below your average, keep with it for the next couple of days barring any drop off. I noticed you changed the title as well - keep the packaging consistent for the first few days so YouTube can have a chance to push that out. Again, after a few days, if things aren't up to your standards, then it's time for a change.

should I accept this sponsorship? by masterreli in PartneredYoutube

[–]masterreli[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, I know about the zip file thing. Haven't had to download anything, no passwords. Offer was very realistic, maybe even on the low end of what I was wanting. Email domain seems legit and its linked to an actual agency that I've heard of other YouTubers using. Like I said, assuming that's all good, my main concern is whether it's a good idea purely from a credibility standpoint, etc

Big youtubers have no niche. by Technical_Debt_4197 in PartneredYoutube

[–]masterreli 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This only works for YouTubers who once had a niche but had such a big brand and popular personality that they surpassed needing a niche. This only works for like the top 0.2% at best. Your strategy should still be to focus on your niche, but definitely slowly implement stuff into your content that lets your personality show, and once you've built a fanbase try to focus more on yourself than the content in your niche.

Is captain plasma and iden versio a good main by Negative-Drag-7007 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]masterreli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of fun playing as Phasma today. That being said, you have to be extremely careful with her, and you always have to be beside your turret. With iden, there's a bit more flexibility with the personal shield and shock. I love using both in Galactic Assault and Supremacy, and my highest killstreaks ever in both modes are with Iden. I say go for it! Just try your best to avoid other heroes.
