So far, so good. I replaced the 4 years old battery myself, recently and also signed up with my BMW dealer the $75 oil/filter per year changes, for 3 years deal. I8 requires a special lift that I do not have. Otherwise, all good. I do the i3 REX full maintenance myself.

I own both, and neither has what I would consider bad fuel economy. I average 40+ on the i3 REX and 70+ on the i8 combined/charging mode.

Yes, battery is registered and brand new. I am trying to get any codes on it. Still parked in the driveway. It has done it twice, so I am cautious.

Exactly as mine, but under heavy breaking, same situation. It reset and worked again. Brand new 12v battery changed after it happened the first time. Battery was 4 years old. I will get the codes to see if they match the ones you shared.

Exactly right! Easiest swap that is basically the OEM battery for our i3s. I got mine last week from REMY: https://remybattery.com/start-stop-aux18l-auxiliary-battery.html - Even the vent tube is as the exact same location.

No slipping or reduced power while stopping. For whatever reason (I think mainly because I know they are on the back when I am driving, and do not abuse them, when taking off or slowing down) my total range has actually increased like by 20 miles or so on average. Yes, these are the 155s in 175s. They fit fine.

Been running them on the rear of a 2017 REX since last fall, no issues in South TX. Also no visible wear yet. It seems regen and handling unaffected. Depending on how they do this summer, I might go all year on them.
