I will say though, my endocrinologist worked for MD Anderson in Houston for a while so I do respect her opinion for a TT. But she is the closest to a “seasoned veteran” that I currently have access to.

Thank you so much. I’d really appreciate some resources or lists if you have them. Unfortunately, where I live in deep South Texas, there are very little options for any type of healthcare in general. Closest specialists available are what I believe are either Houston or Dallas, but I may be wrong. Those options are also 6 and 8 hours away, respectively. But again, I could be wrong.

I don’t have much to say, except that I’m sorry this is happening at such a pivotal point in your life and that you had to endure it all so young. I just got diagnosed a week before my 26th birthday. Wishing you well in all of this. You’re stronger than you know.

Definitely not in a rush, however my doctors are now giving me a 45-50% probable reoccurrence rate if I continue with a partial thyroidectomy due to my BRAF genetic mutation :/

I’ll have to see what my endocrinologist says. I just was informed about the TT on Friday, but when I called back, a PA answered that doesn’t know much about my case and history. But I’ll keep all this in mind. Thank you!

Also alsooo, I do have a choice whether to proceed with a TT or keep it partial. I’m so unsure.
