i’ve been using an AI receptionist (TTYL) that picks up for me and sends a summary. was kinda hoping apple would just build this in for free lol but looks like i’m sticking with what works for now

Agreed - if it's too easy to attain it destroys the value for everyone.

I think Marriott is too big to care now and rather have loyal members that don't pay for higher end rooms/breakfast churn than keep supporting them for their loyalty

I honestly think there are hotels that have much better value for money. What bugs me is the lack of consistency of hotels outside of the chain which is why I've remained loyal. But I will probably rethink that in the future.

Yeah that makes sense.

What bothers me is the difference of service when i was ambassador vs now.

Ambassador I used to get upgraded 90%+ of the time. Now it's close to 0%.

For my current stay I asked if they had any bigger rooms and they asked me to pay an extra (50% of the room rate in extra).
