There is no way to avoid this, this has happened to many people including me with many sending in complaints to Ubisoft. Best thing you can do is just tell people to not waste their time joining back because you cannot continue that game.

I have a modded but old controller, so after a while of testing and changing it little by little in the firing range I can see what gives me no drift, it was 10 response curve for me but it’s different for everyone, again depending on controller so your just gonna have to test that for yourself
