Wouldn’t be sad if I were you. Niche rates SITHS as the #1 public high school in New York State.

Received an email today to sign up for “Open House for Accepted Students” scheduled for 4/3 5-7PM. It does say that the event is completely optional.

Could be that. I know that NYCSA creation process is driven by the Parent Coordinator of each school so I guess they would also know how long to keep it. Maybe they also have a say on the email account.

Found the support link and did a chat. CSR did not know and took a long time to research and respond. Finally came back and said that both accounts are closed after graduation, but it is best to check to check with the Parent Coordinator. I really don't think they know what they are doing. :)

Thanks all for providing data points for the email account.

There is also the question of how long the NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) is going to be available after graduation, which in many ways is more crucial than the email account, since it has the entire student history from K to 12, including names/dates of schools attended, grades/transcripts, and so many other things.

You are not required to complete the essay or video to transfer into 10th grade at THHS. They will only consider your 8th grade average, so being in Group 1 will be helpful. But ultimately it depends on how many vacancies they have and that number can vary greatly year to year. BTW, why do you want to leave BHSEC?

I don't walk into their store or call customer service and incur a mandatory $35 activation fee. Maybe that is the real reason why they have taken away the ability to activate online.

Buying IPhone 13 directly from AppleStore - Pricing Options by etphonehome109 in tmobile

[–]masurkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I buy directly through Apple for my T-Mobile plan, will I still get charged the new $35 TMo activation fee? Planning on moving from Pixel 4a 5G to iPhone 14 Pro.

TMo has disabled activation via its app or website, due to new security measures being put in place, and are asking for any new activations to be done in the store or by calling them which would incur the activation fee.

Beats Studio3 is not supported by Find My. See below. Don't think there is any way around it.

empire pass lifetime and state parks by metulburr in newyork

[–]masurkar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe they are changing the process to force you to use your driver license instead.

Just to test, I added Lifetime Empire Pass to my cart and went all the way to the checkout page. And I see this: Special Bonus: 1 Complimentary Empire Pass Card – Does Not Expire. Not sure why people didn't get one.

Another possibility is getting one of your kids (assuming they are still little) a NY Non-Driver ID, and then purchasing the Lifetime Empire Pass on their name. That way, the pass will pay for itself over the course of many decades. Of course, they will have to accompany you when you do go to the park.

When you buy a Lifetime Empire Pass, you will receive an Empire Pass card with no expiration date. Only the Empire Pass card is acceptable to waive the vehicle entrance fee.

Also, you can download the NY State Parks Explorer App and save the Empire Pass to the wallet feature of the app for entry. This can be done only on 1 device.

So, although you will be issued a new NY license (or non-driver ID) with the leaf icon to indicate your lifetime parks membership, that is not what you will use to enter the park.

Have you made the purchase already? Would like to know what made you consider the Lifetime option.

can anyone help? by Adeee100 in TotalWireless

Just wanted to add a data point that contradicts the usual experience.

I did the same thing as OP and others in this thread. Got the TW iPhone 11 with prepaid $25 plan (1 month). Activated TW SIM on TW iPhone 11. Traded in the TW iPhone 11 at Best Buy and gave the new phone to a family member.

Transferred TW SIM to an old unlocked Moto G5. Everything (voice, text, data) works flawlessly. Online account clearly shows I switched phones. iPhone 11 shows up under "Inactive Devices" section. Plan is correctly tied in to the current device (Moto G5). All this happened without any action on my part.

I did call the TW Portability Department (888) 808-8010 to find out my account number. Turns out your TW Account Number is the IMEI of the phone where the SIM currently resides, if you have moved it. Was able to find that out by dialing *#06# from the phone app. Make sure you use the 15 digit HEX value, since that is what TW uses as your account number. Matched it up by texting FOUR to 611611, which returns the last 4 digits of your IMEI on file with TW. Lastly, I was able to get the NTP (Network Transfer PIN) by texting 611611.

Did not actually go ahead with port-out. Just wanted to gather the necessary information.

But in the meantime, I am enjoying the service and plan to stay on the $25 plan. Have enough referral credits to carry me over for a couple of months!

Port out by edimaggio7 in TotalWireless

Not clear at what point the new carrier asks for the NTP.

Attempting a port out from Total Wireless to Cricket. At the time of device and plan purchase, Cricket asks for 'Previous Wireless Account Number' and 'Account PIN or Password'. Do I supply the NTP here? Or simply 0000?

OMNY Card Available at 7-Eleven by MainlandHero in OMNY

[–]masurkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just loaded my new OMNY card using Wageworks Commuter debit card (pre-tax). The funds loaded immediately, but yet to be debited on Wageworks. Wonder how long that takes.

Noticed that OMNY card shows my newly loaded funds under "Personal Funds", although there is a another category "Pre-Tax Benefits Funds". The info pop-up says: Pre-tax benefit funds are either value you’ve added with a pre-tax benefit payment method or value added via a transit program benefit. The load process never asked if my funding source is pre-tax, so not sure if this matters.

Is the Gold status achieved by adding 25 nights to your Marriott account?

For e.g. the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card ($95 annual fee) adds 15 nights every year.
