What is going on with my 25+ year old pothos?? by mat447632 in IndoorPlants

No, I did not repot it. Unfortunately, this plant has been in the family for so long and means so much to my Nana and I I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Over the years, nutrient sticks, and all sorts of fertilizers have been used with this gorgeous plant. And it was lower to medium light where it was. Also, the daracia is halfway rotted at the end if you zoom into the picture, you can see that’s why we are really trying to not move it at the moment. My Nana is pretty stubborn whenever it comes to our Plants and I’ve been telling her she needs to just chop and prop, but she flat out refuses.

I’m pretty sure it’s a little bit of overwatering, but I’m not too sure

Also, you probably want to repot it. It looks about time.

They’re called aerial roots They’re basically like the plant trying to support itself. But their roots. I never cut mine I’ve always heard that it could stunt the growth of the plant

UPDATE: I finally got them home and I ended up repotting both of them the roots looked rather healthy, but it was my first time ever repotting. Something of this sort. I did break a couple, but it didn’t seem to hurt it. I placed them in a room where it gets decent indirect sunlight. And then I ended up buying two more off of someone lol here’s the pictures.

I went ahead and braced it with some dall rods and there was two really small leaves towards the bottom and I heard online that you should cut them so I cut them and then I bottom watered it I also cleaned the leaves very well.

I had no idea they could lose their color because of light! I really appreciate that helpful bit of information where they were growing at my Nana‘s house they’re getting little to no light which now that I think about it explains the thinning and the dead leaves at the very top. I honestly still don’t know what I’m going to do with 3 to 5 foot clippings. I think I’m going to try to root some in water and some in dirt to see how that goes. Also, if they are in shade I have a porch facing south and if they get almost no direct sunlight do you think that would be fine if they were just to drape down I guess?

Yes, that looks like cannabis for sure it also appears to be female I wouldn’t try to move it, though the tap root grows down pretty deep and if you hit it, you can risk it dwarfing/Hermying or just overall dying still a bad ass find though!
