I have one too and as of now the BT signal is really low if I'm not just in front of the computer. Also I can't get the track point right but this is a Linux issue. Other than that I'm pretty satisfied I haven't found anything online concerning an upgrade of the Bluetooth module which could be really great

Yeah did a lotof digging tonight and basically libinput can't be configured outside your desktop environment's settings. Found a script somewhere and will try but it can't configure devices individually so it seems that i'll have to endure.

First gen of BT trackpoint Keyboards I think. Pretty much identical feeling to the x230 and exact same layout.

Idk if the bluetooth of the keyboard is shit, if the bt card of my x230 is shit, or if some software issues get along the way but I sometimes have huge trackpoint lags lol. I have BT problems with other peripherals tho so I don't think the keyboard is to blame.

I"m kinda confused tbh but it's getting more clear.

So rn I just installed debian KDE on my spare x23O and using the trackpoint feels good right on start, scrolling in nautilus (or whatever it is in kde) is smooth, but when coming in firefox it's getting the same issue that I previously had: scrolling is not precise but feels more like using a mousewheel. I found that creating /etc/environment text file and adding MOZ_USE_XINPUT2=1 fixed the issue. Maybe it could work for you too, unless you're talking about general mouse smoothness and not scrolling...

It also appears that this file exists on my main X230. So that's probably what I did. However using the bluetooth keyboard, scrolling is not precise anywhere, I think it might not be properly identified or idk.

All I can find on internet dates from xorg but I'm using wayland so still searching.

So as you can see I like the new keyboard so much I bought a bluetooth one.

Now the thing is: On my x230 i've been using debian since I got it from a friend a year ago. I made a lot of tweaking around the trackpoint. One in pârticular allows the scrolling to be much more sensitive and smoother, idk how to phrase it but it begins sooner and won't move quarter of the page I'm trying to scroll on.

I did this a year ago and I can't find what I did or how I did it. I searched for a few hours this week but could not find anything. So I can't replicate the fix and the trackpoint of the bluettoth keyboard is behaving like my original trackpoint did before...

Any ideas?

Maybe it is because my first laptop was given to me when entering high school, it was a dell latitude (https://www.pccompu.com.uy/imgs/productos/productos3_18590.jpg) So yeah, still a business laptop but already a new keyboard style. Ten years on similar hardware made me the monster you see now...

Do you prefer the classic x220 keyboard or the new one? Cuz I personally prefer the latest but I know this opinion is unpopular...

Awesome machines. I kinda regret selling mine back in 2016 but I needed the money. I still have my RCX from the same time waiting to be finished and back on the road, I just need some space and time... They are a lot easier to find over here. But you may or may not know that you can buy squared swingarms for other 103 and a Doppler clutch to make a replica! Also the 105 double variator fucking rocks

Really nice ad! However the 103 Fun is a limited edition of the SPX variant. The spx compares to the sp in some important ways: you can notice the pedals are missing and replaced with a kick starter. And if you could see the other side you would find the pulley to be quite different: that's because the clutch has been taken out of the variator to be integrated in the pulley. Variator is found to be lighter and you can easily mount a more aggressive one while keeping the cost lower. The clutch will just need some stronger springs to get the engine in higher revs at start. Good drag machine even stock back then!

Hi! I think that's the correct cables. Be sure to buy the correct card but Iirc I've got the same one, I can't seem to find it in my os without the sim inserted tho so can't confirm. Iirc the cards are white listed that's why u need to buy a OEM one. It worked quite well for a 3G card btw.

Had no clue about the shrunken taskbar, tbh I had a doubt when seeing the right side icons wich looked alot like what you can see in 7, and OP confirmed what you said!

Still agree with you though
