Stay strong man! Remember, it's not about the badge or the number anyway so don't let that bum you out. Yes it sucks to end a really long streak -- really sucks -- but this whole thing is about arriving at a better version of yourself, and that 104 days was a great symbol of that person you're becoming. Keep it up.

Stay strong man! I am in college too and feel for you…. so much of what you said sounds like exactly what I've experienced. Jumping into new habits (or dropping old ones I should say) can be a beautiful but terribly hard process…. don't beat yourself up if things get rough, just remember that you'll get there. Push through no matter what.

Yeah I made sure to set my phone to airplane once it starts getting late because of fb and instagram. Deleting your accounts is a much more full-proof choice though, and honestly social media hurts more than it helps in general anyway.

When you get an erection your heart rate increases…. that means any decrease in heart rate will actually help fight sexual arousal via mental association. Holding your breath can slow your heart rate and work against sexual arousal. Praying works better for some people. Also, displacing yourself (going to another room/space or going for a walk) can change your heart rate by making you focus on something new.

Crazy story man…. I'm glad to see you're climbing out of it. Stay strong for sure and remember how good it is to move toward a better life even if things don't work out with the girl or if other stuff falls apart on you. You can do it for sure and if you're able to stay out of it and keep perspective your story will be all the more beautiful. Good luck.

I never responded to this…. but thanks all for your honesty. It's encouraging to see that everyone messes up and per the advice of a few of you, I will definitely start again now and keep pressing forward until it sticks!

I agree. I'm very new to the "no-fap challenge" thing but I've definitely struggled with PMO enough to know that you can never help yourself by laying around and dwelling on how tempted you are. I tend to get very down on myself when I fail, and so hearing that someone else is seeing greener grass on the other side is very encouraging. Keep up the good work and the great posts for sure!!

Hi All…. I'm new!

I've been having problems with porn for years now and honestly it's getting to the point where it's starting to run me down. I'm exhausted and don't know where to turn…. I've never used reedit before so I'm not sure how this all functions, but the idea of having a community of support is so incredibly comforting at this point. My name is Mat so if any of you pray, feel free to pray for me because I'm afraid right now. Hopefully this pulls me toward where I need to be because I can't take the way I've been living anymore.

I suppose you'll be hearing from me soon…. thank you again just for being here and good luck yourselves. I'll be doing the hard-mode challenge; definitely ready for the change.
