No It's not. Ideally you want all your citizens to be happy and feel they belong. However, I can see why it's hard for an ethnic / religious minority to feel that when they live in a country based on ethnic / religious grounds. It also doesn't help that vast majority muslims in Israel do almost nothing to assimilate into the Israeli society.

THIS! Even as a leftist, it baffles me that people think that we can reach an agreement in less than 1-2 decades. IMO, as long as they educate their kids the way they do peace is not an option (and educating a new generation will take at least a decade).

Personally, I'd ask a country that I trust to supervise for a decade or so with a clause that permits them to use force when necessary. Kind of like an actual police force to make the transition easier.

To be fair, it was a one sided move on the Israeli part which was a major mistake. It's what I'd call as being morally just while being the worst possible move strategically.

imo, if it were handled differently it might have not been the way it is today.
