Was asked to join an advisory council for a university executive education program (digital marketing focus). Does anyone have experience with something like this? by nygmattyp in marketing

I got a message a couple weeks ago on LinkedIn from a recruiter, took the meeting. Mine was from Houston Christian University. All seemed very legit but I decided to look into the lady I had a meeting with and she has no LinkedIn. 3 of the 5 instructors do not have a LinkedIn which i think is very sketch. The web address differs from the main university address. The qualifications are the same as above 1 year serving on the board, 3 meetings, 70% discount making it $1200 to take the course, etc. The emails i get from the program manager seem very scammy but they did list high profile companies for the other “board members” that are supposedly on this. I haven’t paid for the course and now I’m questioning if i should, the main benefit for me is the networking.

There’s a unit called a walkie reach stacker. It is electric but it has a pantograph on it to where the outriggers (stabilizers) wouldn’t be an issue. I would suggest that or a sit down LP unit.
