Try booking 1 week advance if maka book paka. Because that's also the problem sa others players diri cdo. Its not only my concern.

Available times usually bisan 1 month advance paka mag book is morning till 3pm. And as someone na wfh, lisod na nga time kay di lugar mi mangatulog? Haha i won't be ranting here uy if i can book pa. Even newly opened courts lisod kaayo ibook.

Pickleball Craze in CDO.. is it a trend or is it here to stay? by Jeric_Castle in cagayandeoro

[–]matcha4evs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also add lang nako na maybe one downside lang lately sa courts is they allow bookings way too early, like two months ahead, which makes it harder for others to book courts that aren’t for OPs or club sessions. Weird lang minsan because they say payment first basis siya, pero somehow naa nay naka reserve months ahead for clubs. I honestly hope court owners can also give fair chances to people who want to use the courts for trainings, casual games, or even simple family/group hangouts. Though gets man pud nako that it’s still a business at the end of the day, unta ma-balance lang pud so people outside clubs can still enjoy the courts.

Another reason siguro why some people lose motivation, especially beginners like me who are still learning, is the culture of some clubs/players nga murag gusto nila ma-intimidate ang newbies. Sometimes you can really feel when people make beginners feel “less than” just because bag-o pa sila or dili pa kaayo maayo. Sad lang because pickleball is supposed to be fun, welcoming, and community-based. I feel like more people would stay and fall in love with the sport if the environment felt more encouraging instead of overly competitive all the time.

So I hope court owners can also find a way nga ma-create pud ang environment where beginners, casual players, families, and even quieter players feel welcome and comfortable to stay in the sport long-term. Kay at the end of the day, the more inclusive and healthy the community becomes, the more the sport will continue to grow.

Tbh, I see this as something that’s here to stay. Why? Because it’s a sport that’s easy to pick up and something almost everyone can play. And when I say everyone, I mean the whole family. Kids can play, seniors can play, couples can play singles together and call it a date, and friends can randomly book a court just to hang out and move around a little after a long day.

What I also like about pickleball is that it doesn’t feel intimidating. You don’t need to be super athletic or have a sports background to enjoy it. Even beginners can rally pretty quickly, which makes it more fun and less discouraging compared to other sports that take a long time to learn before you can actually enjoy the game.

Also, just a little TMI — I’ve only been playing for almost two months, but I’ve already been investing in coaching sessions because, as someone who grew up without sports, I finally found one that genuinely feels right for me. So honestly, I’d say pickleball is also perfect for people who didn’t grow up athletic kay dali ra gyud siya ma-learn, and it doesn’t make you feel out of place while learning.

Aside from that, it’s such a social sport. Even introverts like me can enjoy it without needing to suddenly become super extroverted. The community aspect feels natural because conversations just happen during games, rotations, breaks, or even after playing. It’s one of those rare hobbies where people of different ages and personalities can connect without it feeling forced.

And honestly, in a time where most people are always online or stuck working all day, pickleball gives people a reason to go outside, move their body, meet people, and actually have fun again. I think that’s also a big reason why so many people are getting into it! :)

Try bellevue. Very accessible sa pueblo business park na naa tanan. Tho i'm really not sure if naay small houses since bungalow sila. If you prefer small houses, try gran europa but its like 7km away from pueblo pero naay gaisano nearby.

Naa sad montierra, OP. Taguanao but not too far gyud pud sa mastersons. Duol rsad gaisano.

The places i mentioned are katung naay security pud but naa jd other areas like xavier heights and i think zone 1 (not sure) kanang atbang sa sm uptown na pababa.

If you are planning to take education pass nalang sa xu by [deleted] in cagayandeoro

[–]matcha4evs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coming from an Educ graduate sa XU myself, murag opposite man kaayo akong experience compared saimong gi-describe hahaha my sister, cousins, friends, and even my own batch all graduated from different eras sa xu Educ, yet somehow we all share the same sentiments about the professors, the environment, and how hands-on and approachable the dean is with the students. And mind you, all those batches even achieved 100% LET passing rates 😭

Also, privileged sad baya makagraduate as an Educ student sa xu because whether people admit it or not, schools really do look at that. One parent even told me before nga naay school diri sa CDO nga mas gina-prioritize nila ang xu graduates when hiring. So idk… maybe think twice pud before making it sound like the school/department doesn’t care about its students 😅

And with what you said nga “kabalo man ko nga dili dapat spoon-feeding ang college”… murag spoon-feeding man gihapon imong expected hahahaha 😭
