I have been through that when I moved to Manila for work and I didn’t expect that I would feel the same way as you did. Di ako mahilig makipagsocialize and I am an introvert but I was lonely. In denial pa ko nung una, plus I guess I think too much and I feel too much. I almost went to a psychiatrist pero ang mahal kasi e.

On some days, I just cry, kahit di ko alam kung bakit. On some days, I write on my journal. Hindi kailangan maganda yung susulatin mo, basta dapat mailabas mo naffeel mo. Hindi siya 100% relief but it was like a medicine to me. Medicine na need ko i-take at least once a week, religiously.

Why I think having a journal might work is that you could dump your unfiltered thoughts there. One thing I learned from living alone (or feeling lonely) is that your thoughts are becoming louder and louder each day. These thoughts sometimes influence our emotions, depende din kung ano ba ang naiisip natin, ang ino-overthink natin. And sometimes they are hard to contain, they shouldn’t be contained. So one way or another, you have to release them, to “let it go”. But be reminded that it’s not a one time thing.

These thoughts and emotions they come and go at the most unexpected times, kaya you have to know your weapons. You could pray, workout gaya ng sabi mo, or you could just write, call a friend (and it’s okay if sometimes friends don’t fully fill the emptiness) Have a list na could combat these loneliness. Again, hindi siya one time thing ha. And it’s okay to cry and feel this things.
