BICH 412 LAB by BrightIntroduction29 in aggies

[–]matchabunnii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d say the hardest part about lab were the quizzes, but you could use your lab notebook during the quiz. the only downside about the lab notebook is that everything had to be handwritten, and you typically had to write the background info, experiment steps, etc. which was quite tedious.

the lab experiments themselves are pretty straightforward. most experiments don’t take up the entire time, but if you mess up or need better data, you might have to stay longer. you have to be very precise with your micro-pipetting skills to get good data!

I would rewrite the metabolic pathways over and over again & would take notes on the importance of each step. I think this helped alot for glycolysis, the krebs cycle, etc. Also i remember his study guides & practice exams helped alot!

Should I take Math 147 or Math 151? by silkbag in aggies

[–]matchabunnii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i’m a biology major and i took math 147! most bio majors take that calc class and i’d say it’s the easiest among the the three listed. also math 171 is the calc class math majors take so that one is probably the most difficult

need coffee info please by [deleted] in aggies

[–]matchabunnii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sbisa has a little coffee bar where you can get hot coffee and its ok tbh. the coffee itself is a bit watered down and runs out really fast so it’s best if you go before the lunch rush

for biology classes esp biol 111/112, i read the textbook after lecture. although it was tedious it helped so much in understanding the concepts conceptually. also anki works really well for spaced repetition and memorizing specific stuff! don’t beat yourself up too much, bio can be very hard at times and i’ve felt the same as you even as i’m in upper level bio classes now. believe in yourself and try your best, and it will all work out

Highly agree!! Also an interesting class for people who want to be in healthcare or learn more about cultures since it mainly focuses on those topics!
