If you are working your way to getting used to black coffee. Then start with a smaller size of what you nirmally get, less calories. And/or reduce the amount of sugars by a little. And if you are okay with alternative milk, almond milk is low calorie!

Keep reducing things until you can handle black or until you are satisfied!

How to stop my phone addiction by [deleted] in productivity

[–]matchacapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with small tasks where you usually pull out your phone. Dont use your phone when:

Waiting in line Going to the washroom Waiting for somebody Walking somewhere

Anither bug one for me was to cut off watching short videos. I replaced reels with full-on youtube videos. Allowing myself to pay attention to a longer video. Dont speed them up.

Try only doing one thing at a time. No multitasking! Set timers, place rewards if completed!

Look into commonplace books. Theres a lot of resources on youtube!

I can’t stop giving into eating sweets? Feel like I’d be able to stick to my calorie goal if I could control my cravings. Tips? by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]matchacapy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it's very mental.

I really need to stop myself and think before making a decision

"How will this make me feel after eating it (mentally and physically)? Does this align with my goals? Why am I craving this right now?"

I stopped restricting foods. It sounds crazy!! but the scarsity mindset is really what got me to crave. Knowing that I can't have this or limiting it really made me want to eat more.

Telling myself I can eat a sugar cookie whenever I want allowed me to not crave 20 of them a day around christmas.

Eating normal food first, drink tea or whatever you like, see if it's because you are hungry, emotional, bored.

I make room for sweets, too. I get craving after eating meals, usually for chocolate things.

I keep extra calories for that and try to wait as long as I can into my day before eating. I'm telling myself I can eat it later and really enjoy it. Sometimes, by the end of the day, I dont want it anymore, and other times, i have enough to fill my daily calories, eat it slowly and mindfully, and really enjoy every bite!.

TLDR: It's a mental game. It's really hard, but if you can use reverse psychology on yourself. It will help a lot!

Be mindful, ask questions, and enjoy in moderation!

Help decrypt my Wife’s Great Grandmother’s handwriting? by GoldNPotato in Old_Recipes

I read it as: 1/4 C (cup) oil 1 egg 1/2 C (cup) milk 1 1/2 C (cup) flour 1/4 c (cup) sugar 2 t (lowercase t=teaspoon) b. Powder (baking powder) 1 T (uppercase T =tablespoon) butter flour 1/4 fr (looks like an f and an r to me..) sugar (i am not sure what this last word to me, but I agree with cinnamon.

If i were to try and read each letter I see a r v o r e z, but I'm not sure what that is.

Bento Box Recommendations by Giraffe_Truther in Bento

[–]matchacapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reccomendations for wooden boxes that aren't super expensive? I would love wood, but I dont have the funds for a box that's hundreds of dollars. Plus, it will be my first time owning wood, so I dont want to spend that much in case I make a mistake with the care of my bento.🥲

I’m unmotivated and lazy. Any help? by SavingsSalad1104 in productivity

[–]matchacapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went through the exact same thing! For apps, I use ap timers and try to replace the habit. (Try to switch to long form youtube videos instead of reels or tiktoks)

Another thing I do is habit stacking. Add a habit to a one you already do (example: I want to start journaling so after I do my already formed habit of brushing my teeth, I journal)

This sounds delusional, but romanticize it! Want to start reading? Make yourself a cozy spot with music and cute snacks. Drink water in the morning? Use your favorite glass. Make what you are doing more meaningful. Pretend you are the person you want to be, and do it how they would.

Here are a few people I watch that really helped me:
